Vobsub guide

Post by AgOkami »

Really need help with this program. Looked through all kinds of guides, but I still can't get subs on the Lupin VS Conan video file =(
Would be great with a step by step guide from the downloading as I really know nothing about computer programs XD

Guess I could wait for the hardsubbed version, but I figured out how to change the timing and subs, so I want to try subbing it in Norwegian to surprise my friend (and maybe get some new fans for Conan and Lupin somehow) ;D

Now I can run the video fine with subs and all =D

But one more thing: I can edit the already existing subs and timing, but I have a bit trouble finding out how to add extra texts. Anyone can help me with that? (I have searched for answers, but there's so much you can do with this program, I find it a bit hard finding the right guide.)

EDIT: Added a picture of how I change the timing and subs:

EDIT 2: Figured out I know how to time the start of a text, but how do I time where it ends? =/

It would be better to use a real subbing program to change text, retime, etc.
Give Aegisub a try, it is what DCTP, Kienai, and AZFS use!

New problem D=
My language got some extra characters (æ, ø and Ã¥), and they look fine when I write them in Aegisub. But when I'm watching the movie, they end up as some veird characters. I did as this guide said: http://malakith.net/aegiwiki/FAQ#I_have ... at.3F  but it didn't help. Do I have to use an other program, or should this one be able to read them?

EDIT: Problem solved. I just downloaded VSFilter. I should start thinking more and post less I guess XD
