if you believe in evolution, it's the egg. For the vast majority of cases, an animal's DNA doesn't mutate while they're alive, and the only way evolution happens is through combining DNA through a child. So two pre-chickens can have a chicken egg, but a pre-chicken-egg can't turn into a chicken.

I understood it, but that was probably because Akonyl just used different words to say what I said above.
