I really am not. He has "evidence", something about Ip adresses but I'm not computer savy I don't know what he means really. I understand that Kait0kid0 was rude I was kinda there when you called him out using Kaitokidx on the messenger thing on the website. But other than liking Ai+Conan I'm really nothing like him. Well I like naruto too I guess. If he wants to accuse me of being him fine doesn't matter I won't be here that much anymore anyways.

Re: I Bid You Adieu
I was indeed joking as far as a "Yeah, it is KaitoKid0 and that was pretty wild that somebody actually said it ironically and it was true" but when it comes to justifying why it's the case, I wouldn't have gone into detail if he hadn't denied it and insinuated Jd-chan was a-lyin'. I really don't mind when the banned people come back and behave, but I'm not going to pretend they've turned themselves around when they're obviously--for lack of a better word--faking it.Akonyl wrote: wait a sec, up until that overly long and serious post I totally thought jd- was joking about the whole thing.
...huh.
and c-square, I'm guessing jd just noticed the duplicate IP (or who knows, maybe he used the same email) to get the evidence.
You likely aren't tech-savvy, that's true--and that's why you didn't cover up some of the more obvious tracks that those that are tech-savvy could notice. I'm not even really tech-savvy myself, but after having to deal with a number of evaders over the years, some of the less-able ones do tend to stand out. You also write in precisely the same style, so if you'd like to avoid being detected next time, keep that in mind, please.Detective Prince wrote: I really am not. I've already mentioned it before, but you used the same IP address to try to sign up as Detective/Kaito/Prince (with many combinations of the three words) along with the same e-mail on a number of them--including your current one (j****f@live.com). You made at least eleven accounts trying to get a new one on these forums, and all were from the same set of IP addresses with the same e-mails (occasionally with a letter changed or an additional "x" or "2000" added). You didn't notice, I suppose, but that wasn't fooling anyone.

I only think that you don't really mind being dishonest, but I know you're lying.Detective Prince wrote: A lot of people have the same style...fine you are dead set on this...think what you want
As c-square said, it's better to come clean about it than it is to keep up this charade and later make a new account to do the same thing. You can pretend to hate this place as you did as KaitoKid0, but you keep coming back, and when you are behaving and being respectful toward others, you seem to contribute positively. If you'd make a habit of that and put the rest behind you while being honest about it, I don't see why it couldn't end just fine.
This place is such a stable and welcoming community because of that mutual respect everyone shares for one another; the least you can do is start by extending the same to them, right?

Re: I Bid You Adieu
An IP address is a number that identifies one's connection to the internet. It is usually unique to a given computer or network connection. If you have the same IP address that KaitoKid0 had, that means there's a very high probability that either you are using the same computer that he did, or at least are on the same local network of computers (at a school, or a library etc..). Although, in itself, it is not proof, it does provide significant supporting evidence.Detective Prince wrote: I really am not. Why would I pretend to hate this place...if I did why would I be here...and I don't want to create another account. Why create another one to fake who you really are and try to fit in. If people don't like me people don't like me. I don't try to force them to it's not worth it. If I'm not liked somewhere I leave. You already got everyone convinced that I'm some rude jerk so I might as well leave. You say everyone respects eacth other but I think some people would say differently. I mean Akonyl thought this was all some joke. That proves that you people "joking" doesn't look like it at all and it is hard to tell if your serous or not. And I really do mind lying I my stomach always flips if I ever do unfortunately..
@c-square I'm always almost on my phone here. Does a phone even have an Ip address?

@Prince: I don't think a phone has an IP adress.
@Jd- : There is one possibility as to why they have the same IP adress, but are NOT the same people:
1. Kaito could've gotten an updated computer, and sold his computer to someone, which would be Prince.
Also, if he really IS Kaito, then how come he's not posting any of those posts that Kaito does? Besides, he could be embarassed with what he did in the past and would not want people to know who he is, because he's worried if those people would respond angrily at him if they knew who he is.
Finally, I have a question for you, Jd- : how many of his posts were inappropriate? Did he post them all at once?

I already mentioned you tried using your phone to hide your IP, and yes, it does have one. However, we have records of all your IPs--not just your phone's. Funny thing is that you remembered KaitoKid0 used xX Kaitou Kid Xx on the cbox--you really took notice of what was a very insignificant event, but want to know what's maybe a little more interesting? According to the cbox logs, KaitoKid0 was never identified by his actual name on the cbox in those discussions--was only referred to directly, under the then-current alias... Hmm... Throw in the fact that the string of "Prince" aliases showed up one week after KaitoKid0 was banned and the fact that he hasn't tried to log back in under his account since the day that we approved "Detective Prince" (he had logged into the KaitoKid0 account very regularly leading up to the registration of "Detective Prince") and I think we have either a very obvious bit of truth or one hell of a coincidence on our hands.
Any chance you know him personally or heard about it from him, then? Otherwise... that'd be awfully strange.
Spoiler:
In response to the IP bit: That's not true, because his IP is connected to his ISP. If you're saying that it's plausible that he ended up with a used computer that KaitoKid0 once owned and also uses the same ISP and ended up with the exact same IP after all this time, well... I guess that's... one... theory. An extraordinary coincidence that set up this series of events, you could say.alicetama wrote: @Prince: I don't think a phone has an IP adress.

The bit with the phone isn't right, though. It does have one, and it says "mobile" and "mycingular" in the host mask--very obviously a phone. The thing is, he's just assuming that using the phone masks his identity (my current theory is that he once was banned on the cbox under his actual IP and then tried on his phone and discovered it was unbanned there and thought it would cover all bases; unfortunately, he didn't really think far enough ahead). He doesn't know much about technology, but I imagine he came across that in the process.
And yeah, of course he's wanting to cover up who he is because of the stigma associated with his former name--he caused a noticeable amount of trouble, so it's not really a surprise.
As for how many of his posts were inappropriate and subsequently removed: Quite a few. He didn't post them in one big spree, but instead demonstrated that behavior over a set amount of time in spite of numerous, numerous, numerous warnings. When confronted about it, he always (and I do mean always) put blame on everyone else in the topic instead of taking it on himself for maybe, just maybe having a part in it.

Re: I Bid You Adieu
Any connection to the internet will have an IP address. How your phone gets allocated its address depends on your phone service provider. Some phones will keep the same address all the time. Some will change each day, or each time you turn on your phone, or each time you change cell towers. For sure, the IP address given to you would not be unique to your phone, but would also be used by other people on your phone network. So, like I said, the same IP address shared between you and KaitoKid0 is not proof, though it does act as supporting evidence.Detective Prince wrote: @c-square I'm always almost on my phone here. If you want to find out your IP address, go here: http://www.whatsmyip.org/
That wouldn't work. IP addresses are specific to internet connections, not to the computers themselves. You could bring your computer over to my place and use my network to access the internet, and you would be using my IP address. Similarly, if you take your laptop or wi-fi device to a public wi-fi spot to access the internet (internet cafe, library, Starbucks), you'll be using their IP address to access the internet.alicetama wrote: @Jd- : There is one possibility as to why they have the same IP adress, but are NOT the same people:

about the phone IP thing: Oh... well... I'm not very good with some technology stuff... And also, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but the fact that you know about our IP adresses sort of freaks me out...
Also, a friend, sibling, whatever could've hacked into his account a mulitiple amount of times, and the real Kaito, could've started another account(IF he's really Prince)
@c-square: damn you're smart.

yeah, this is basically it, hence the luke skywalker reaction. I may have believed it if I thought the premise wasn't so out there, but as it was I didn't think it would actually be true.Jd- wrote:Akonyl just thought it was extraordinary and impossible due to the way it was suggested, but it was actually correct (both you and I know it), and that was also the reason he thought it was a joke. most site admins will know your IP, it's a pretty necessary part of keeping track of people.alicetama wrote: about the phone IP thing: Oh... well... I'm not very good with some technology stuff... Well I did try to sign up a lot It was only because you had some weird questions and I thought if I answered it wrong then I wouldn't be allowed in so I emailed people and Kenta said I needed to be approved by you. Besides you did call him that and no I'm pretty sure it wasn't xxkaitokidxx I think I was only one x...or maybe it was two I don't know but I do remember you calling him out as Something something, Kaitokid0, and then some lecture. I remember it because it was when I was first getting into this forum that gave me trouble getting into. I remember agreeing with you guys. I mean I saw what he posted on here, a middle finger, which is rather rude...
