Another Kid chapter animated, another reason for me to make a topic like last time. This topic is to compare what is the same and what is different between the original Magic Kaito chapter and the TV version.
when KID showed his face as Conan LOL! Oh, and about the lock thing. That was in the manga, too. A bunch of girls were angry at him because he was always sneaking into the female locker room and then Kaito said something like, "It's not my fault that the lock is too flimsy/easy to open" < based from what I remember
and DB in Tropical Land LOL! So DC story arc wise, KID's busy date happened some time when Shinichi was already turned into Conan. Kind of confused, though, because the Black Star chapter is actually the Black Star episode of DC and the Black Star Chapter in the manga is in a later volume (KID's busy date is in the first) and this is the first time he would meet Shinichi as Conan but in the KID's busy date episode, it's implied that Ginzo already knows Conan and has worked with him during chases. Okay I get that the MK Black Star chapter was actually included in DC episode 219 BUT KID was only supposed to know about Pandora in the Blue Birthday chapter so his heists would not be related to looking for gems but as I said, him showing he can disguise as Conan is already implying that he has been on chases with him but we all know that during KID's chases in the DC episodes, it's implied he already knows about Pandora.

Don't hurt your brain like I did thinking about it. xD;; The timeline is just f-ed up completely, so save yourself trouble of trying to grasp at straws for the animation staff. lol. And yes you're right about the lock, somehow I overlooked it at 1 AM when I was flipping through my volume 1. ^^;

Eh I just toss it up to easter egg character cameos trump trying to figure out when this happens timeline wise.
This seems to be the best place for what I want to post so...here I go.
Anyway, according to 2ch (official confirmation from Video Research's website not before tuesday) , this episode got a 9.4% rating for a 5th place in the Top10 (just behind Doraemon and above One Piece). If that's true it's a good score and an improvement of 2.2 points compared to 626's viewer share.
If episode 3's ratings don't drop too much, those hoping for more MK in the future will probably get what they want.

If such an entity really existed, wouldn't all honest, hard-working people be happy?"

I just watched the entire thing on youtube. I think the
Spoiler:
KID showing off his disguising skills and one of those was Conan was just added for comedic effect :p It's still screwed up time-in-canon wise, but I found a probable solution here: KID was also disguising as some of the characters they met in Tropical Land and Conan was in Tropical Land that time too,near the mascot - THERE. To appease my brain and canon worship. LOL! But I think it's really just for comedic effect.

Still the time line seems a bit weird. If this episode is suposed to be before the Black Star case, how come Haibara is in it?

Again, don't think too hard on how to grasp at straws for justifying the animation staff's decisions. ^^; They're just cameos and shouldn't be taken seriously. The real problem would be though when Kid imitates Conan, but again, I suppose that should be treated as a cameo as well.
Perhaps I'll make a topic detailing the problems with the timeline if these cameos are treated as legit.

i really like the expression of the one next to Nakamori's left ear. Also it's so much fun to flip back and forth from those two pictures wit he page up and down keys.
