well, that's very difficult to decide for whom you vote - for me...

I now voted for Heiji Hattori because he is one of the very cleverest and best characters of the series...

...but Kaito Kid also is very very smart and cool and so on...

Hard to decide... 

In terms of deductions, Yuusaku;
In terms of trickery, Kid;
In science knowledge, Ai;
In gadgetry, Agasa Hakase (but he's not on the list);
In terms of resolving dangerous situations, Conan;
In terms of smartness combined with sheer coolness, Akai;
and in terms of smartness combined with fun, Heiji.

Well, Kuroba-kun has a 400 IQ, actually. 8D;;
But I agree with ayw.

well sharon and yuusaku are probably the smartest but they hold back alot. Kaito and shinichi are on the same page they just use their talents differently, same with akai and okiya(even though we don't know that much 'bout them)i don't think GIN is actually that smart... he's good at what he does sure, but if it came down to a battle of wits he'd be sooo very screwed. Ai is Ai..... enough said.

The only things I have to add from now,

In terms of acting cool, also Ai;
In terms of being cunning, Gin;
In terms of being beautiful, Yukiko;
In terms of being multi-faced, Vermouth.

In terms of sheer smart-assness,  Conan.

But I think Ai is the smartest overall, because she created APTX4869.  Not only that, but she's working on a permanent cure with all her previous research gone.

Also, in Magic Kaito!, it is revealed that he has an IQ of 400. I doubt anyone else has that high IQ in the series unless Gosho is attempting to convey that everyone is at least IQ 300+ there. (Einstein was IQ 200).

I think if I have to choose ONE character that would be Gin.
