BUT, THIS IS NOT OVA 4 - THIS IS: Detective Conan - Movie 3 (The last magician of the century) !!!
but in the manga story gosho doesn't use this, so...

The way that it has been used so far is that Kid Knows about Conan in the movies, but it's unclear if he does in the manga/anime

well, gosho aoyama has said this during an interview that since this movie kid knows in the manga, too.
it was also written in the booklet for the third movie (in germany it was)...

because, in germany we have a booklet for every Conan Movie coming out and it was written there...
and since this booklet is watched over by gosho, i think it's true...
but the exactly source : i don't know...

By the Way ConanFreak, KID learned Conan's identity back in movie three. And now for all movies after that knows it ( except of maybe any flash backs occurring before movie three )

FYI guys funi has dubbed the third movie (I have my sources) however they are waiting to see how the season 4 and 5 set sell.

no, the movies aren't plot-related which means that they are not written by Gosho Aoyama himself...
Well, he is watching over the script for all movies but basically they are written by someone other than Gosho, so...
(I think there are two different writers for the movies, but this is only speculation...)
