Kaitou Kid Anime Series or Not?

I would love the idea of Kaito having his own anime series. (He has his own manga, does he?) But, I think his role in DC is perfect. I do not consider him as a supporting character though.

After reading the first three chapters, I wonder why the hell this hasn't happened yet. The 1st chapter was ok but the 2nd and 3rd ones were pretty brilliant (even if chapter 2 felt kinda like Lupin the 3rd 101) and shows how great Gosho was YEARS before Conan even started.

Maybe they're worried that DC's Kaitou Kid isn't exactly the same as Magic Kaito's Kaitou Kid (mainly because chapter 3 would probably never happen in the same world as DC)?

lol, nobody hates him, so there's no vote against it because of hatred yet...
kaitou kid is my #1 favorite character, and i'm always very happy and even sorta euphoric if i see a new file/ep/what else abt him.. so it would please me.
... but sure, it's more interesting if conan gets involved.

I'd love to see some of it in OVA's... I really liked Aoko's birthday episode.

Now ignoring those 2 chapters with robots (minirobots and fake kid) for the sake of not having even "that series that was made before Conan and is now kind of a side series" be too unrealistic and crazy (although in some ways it HAS to be, mainly because of Akako).

There are 22 chapters that could be used.

Magic Kaito was a late 80's manga which means it has a considerable amount of craziness that wouldn't work in DC (such as the specified robot arcs and most of Akako's magic), but I still think it would be wonderful to either have a Magic Kaito anime or at least do more OVAs and special episodes with the Kid in them. About all they've done was the clock tower and the Yaiba faceoff, but i'd love to see the likes of Nightmare and Chat Noir animated, or Blue Birthday and Green Dream- and the one with the underwater pirate ship, that was oddly deep for what started as a rather mental manga. I love Kaito so i'd love to see him appear more- plus, Akako, Hakuba and Aoko would get to appear more! ♥ Akako almost never appears, not at all in the manga, and Aoko's only marginally better off...

Supporting Character.

Maybe a few specials or OVAs for some background info or watever about Kaito/Kaito KID but thats all..... I dont see the MK anime a very big attraction...I mean, the story would end too soon, and the only thing he does is steal...

Best thing is to keep him that EPIC few-times-in-a-lifetime (;D) character that would surprise u when he suddenly appears in a DC episode or something.

No Kaitou Kid anime series.. It'd get VERY boring quick. He's best as a supporting character. If there were an anime series, it'd probably be 20 episodes or so. All Kaitou does is steal and when we see each episode he succeeds, it gets boring.

I hope after Gosho finishes DC that he finishes up the MK series.

But I wouldn't agree with the idea of Kaitou having his own anime series. Kaitou Kid is best as supporting character. A mysterious-charming character who always makes us wait for his next appearance in Detective Conan. If Magic Kaito had the anime series, then we shouldn't have to wait for him to appear. We would watch him every weekends. Kaitou Kid would be no longer mysterious. And that would be friggin' boring.

I have to admit that Kid is significantly less slick and mysterious when you get a gawk at all the behind-the-scenes- scrambling he does, particularly in "Kaitou Kid's Busy Day"... but he does need to appear more in DC.
