I'm actually quite upset how they animated Aoko (Kaito is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!) Aoko is suppose to have a childish kinda look (the way DC does it looks great). Her hair is definitely suppose to be shorter. Did her VA change? She sound EXACTLY like Ran now, didn't she have a different VA? Aoko isn't suppose to be that much of a Ran clone. One more thing that bothers me....SHE HAS BOOBS NOW. WTF Aoko is suppose to be flat!

Finally I saw the Kaito Kid anime and, well, the plot is really funny , and have much more action that a regular Detective Conan episode 8), but then again, Detective Conan and Kaito Kid  are two different manga, Kaito Kid is a comedy-action manga and Detective Conan is a action-drama manga with some comedy relief .

The bad point is that I really don´t like the way the characters are draw . The only thing to remind Gosho Aoyama´s style –in my opinion- is the eyes of the characters. In this anime Kid is more like the regular pervert character that you see in any teenager´s anime . Yes, I know that this pervert boy is based in the original Kaito Kid in the manga, but I like more the “coolâ€

I compared the Animax airing to the NTV airing

Animax airing has the special "Kid the Phantom Thief" logo in the beginning, and the jazzy ED.

NTV airing has the current Conan OP (As the Dew) and has an episode title, but not a "Kid the Phantom Thief" logo, and Conan has a special segment right before the OP, advertising M14.
NTV also doesn't have the jazzy ED, but instead has the current Conan ED (Hello Mr. My Yesterday), and has a special segment with Kid at the end, advertising M14.

Which one will DCTP use?  Probably the NTV airing, since the raw is in HD (and there's no good Animax raw out)

EDIT:
Upon further inspection, the Animax airing has an extra scene with Kaito and Aoko before the jazzy ED, while the NTV airing omits it entirely.  We're working on getting a better Animax cap.  Animax cap acquired, just a matter of time now!
