Kaito does appear in DC, but the things happening around him are a little more realistic... But then again, Akako came out in episode 219, so they'll probably have to include the magic factor... but...

So... they changed it?  Because the Conan special was supposed to cover that first chapter.  So... wtf?

Furthermore, I don't see anything in the actual Shounen Sunday post about it being the first chapter.  So again, wtf?

Well yea, that's how it seems.  However there is no proof that Snake is NOT a member of the BO or that the BO didn't hire him to kill Toichi.  We can only guess that there are two just the same that we can guess that there is only one organization.  Also, just because we've only seen alcohol names doesn't mean that there can't be others.  For all we know, codenames are based off whether your mother's maiden name started with a J or a G.

Awesome that it's the first chapter, though. The one where Kaito finds out about Kid and everything. The organization that murdered Toichi doesn't turn up until later in the manga, though.
