Need ideas for my first fanfic...

it isn't that easy...what kind of murder could happen in billiard hall with 17 year old as a suspect?

and I'm also troubled that how and when Aoko would find out Kaito=Kid?
and how would they end up working with DC gang?
I want to be unique and that's why it's so hard to come up with things...
I have planned 2nd normal  murder case and the serial murder case but I'm having problems that how to present enough but not too many clues...working backwards helped in those cases but still it's hard...

should I make the 1st case an accidental?or should it be planned?
poison or physical trauma?blunt weapon or knife?Or even playing card?(that would be unique at least)

and I do watch police dramas...well CSI mostly..
but that's the problem...I have WAY too many ideas and they all want to come into this...
it's funny...first I didn't have any idea and now I'm overflowing with them...

How about a poisoned card in a deck of cards! It seems like the dealer did it, but it actually has to do with a unique way that the victim handles/holds/plays/shuffles his/her cards. Maybe the cards belonged to Aoko or something, so she could be a suspect, and the person died after drinking something so you would suspect the person who gave them the drink, but then they find out that the poison was on the card, so they say the person who gave the drink is innocent (though actually ends up being the murderer). It could be that the murderer could have applied the poison while dealing the cards if they were a group of friends and took turns dealing. Or you could remove the risk of accidentally killing someone by replacing poison with something that the victim has an extreme allergy towards (you could even give the victim multiple allergies so every suspect could have something related to an allergy). Though this is over-complicated, I hope you can be somewhat inspired by it. The names can be wordplay resulting from suits or types of allergies or something. You can even make it accidental, where the murderer just wanted to play a very mean prank, but they couldn't get the victim to the hospital in time (or they do and you get a call at the end with the victim apologizing to the murderer/prankster for killing his/her daughter indirectly ("you were the reason she committed suicide", maybe over a large debt that resulted from gambling...).
That was longer than I wanted it to be... Was any of that close to what you wanted? Hope I didn't just waste your time.

The victim tried to cheat often and harassed the ladies and was a drunkard...(now sober and was allowed to play)

Kaito often plays poker with certain group in the billiard hall.They often use his cards.This time too.
The victim will be poisoned to death during the game.He'll die from something he ingested with his bread Aoko brought to everyone.
Jii who owns the place is also suspect but is quickly ruled off.
there will be 3 other suspects who all hated the victim and were playing the game too.
2 of the other suspects were women who hated the victim for him harassing them just like Aoko.
Kaito hated him for his behavior towards women (especially Aoko) and because he tried to cheat (too bad Kaito noticed it every time)


how the killer managed to make the victim the only victim using only one playing card?

I need to think good trick but your idea gave me this idea...Unique is it not?
I still need to research a little...or you could tell me what could be appropriate poison and good trick?

or should I use this?

during game of poker the same victim as above will be killed in the bathroom by slashing his throat open with sharpened plastic playing card from the game (kaito's deck as he's the dealer)
victim was not feeling well during game and went to bathroom to throw up.
Kaito helped him there->suspect
Aoko gave him the something that made him feel bad (allergic) and she was in the woman's bathroom crying because she realized that she gave the victim something he was allergic at(this happened before the murder). No one saw her so she's suspect.
every other player( suspects) used the toiled once ,2 being ladies and one man.
They all hated him because he was hooligan and he sexually harassed the women.

so...which one should I use?

I wonder how I came up with the idea...but oh well...originally Ran's POV chapters will be completely remade to include Aoko's POV too...
I wonder how I'm going to pull this off...I have never dived in angry girls head...Is it scary place?

Depends on how emotional the person generally is, and who/what the anger is directed at, I guess. For example, anger over personal matters would likely be mixed with other feelings such as betrayal and/or other internal conflicts, while anger towards strangers would be more of the 'righteous anger' type IMO, since there's more emotional distance  in this case. Personality also factors in slightly - take Ai and Sonoko for instance. Extreme example, I know, but they would clearly react differently to the same situation even if both were angry.

Don't worry too much about it, it'll work out... somehow that's an interesting idea you have, I think!

It's as much of an insult as Ran calling Shinichi "mystery otaku" I suppose. Or Kaito calling Aoko "Ahoko" instead.

agh...I'm having serious problems with the first chapter...and the intro...

Basically chapters 1 and 2...I have first case uploaded and I've written few others halfcomplete but...
I'm having trouble's...I know what I want to happen in those chapters but...it just doesn't seem to go like I want...
trying to dive into minds of 2 girls (Ran & certain other but without revealing who the other is...
but it's so HARD...and I'm trying to keep it balanced too...)

Prolo will be Tie-in with DC storyline (yeah this is futuristic fic) and the other hearing something...and the first real chapter will include Ran's phone call & her thoughs and the other gils thoughts...
that's where I'm having problems...
I need to present Rans thoughts,her phone call and the other ones thoughts in a way that it seems it's happening at the same time...
I'm also having problems where to stuff Hakuba's thoughts..though those can be put in later chapters...

Ok this is a ranting and I really don't think anyone could help me...without actually seeing what I write...
unless you know some fics which include good way to keep 3 conversations aloof
while looking like they happen at the same time ?
(yeah I don't want to put specific times in it and they do happen at the same time.)
