umm.. kid said 'there's no time. they need help.' i thought only 'the girl' [which i assume is ran] was taken? but all in all, a very very very nice story. hope the ending will be something like this~! and yeah, if you can, can you try to include heiji and hakuba? it's okay if you don't though i know how hard it is to alter a finished plot..

The thief fiddled with the bluish gem while he flew into the night sky.

''That was close, Tantei-kun."

He let out a sigh.


Chapter 2: Withering Clover

Conan arrived in front of the Mouri Detective Agency.
He looked around.

"Hm. Seems quite enough."

Then he suddenly realized.

"It's too quite."

"You came, meitantei..."
A whisper came from behind him. Recognizing the owner of the voice, he immediately turned towards the speaker.
"Kid, wha-"

Conan was dumbfounded. He can't believe his eyes.
"What happened?"
In front of him is the thief, alright.

But something is definitely, and in this case, noticeably wrong.

His white clothes are now smeared with dark red blood, his monocle is cracked, his cape, missing.
Kaitou Kid tried to smile, but, instead, a grimace out of immense pain curved from his lips.

He emits a gloomy aura, and his poker face is long gone.
"They came... I had to protect your-"
He coughed.
"-secret... There's no time. They need help..."

The boy's face darkened.
"Who? What did they do?"
"Sorry, I can't do anything... I was shot... caught off-guard... they took the girl..."
The thief gasped for air.
"and the others too... everyone you came in contact with... in danger... can be killed..."
His voice cracked.

For the first time since his last contact with the organization, Conan felt real fear. Not only for himself, but for everyone he knew and loved.
"Impossible... how can this be... I'm too careless..."

As thoughts filled his young mind, the thief silently fell on the floor.

It's been a while before he noticed.

''Kid! Damn... I forgot about his wound..."

Kaitou Kid felt helpless. Little but helpful hands supported him.
"Ah... meitantei..."
"Hold on, Kid! Don't die on me!"
Half-awake, he stared at his natural enemy.
''Is this how it'll end, huh? The great uncatchable thief... I'm the one who's supposed to help... instead..."
With this, the moonlight illusionist lost his consciousness.
