I don't think he necessarily thought that the style of the figure was parody-ish, just that it as a similar style to what's sometimes used in robot chicken, which happens to be a parody.

I am an often misunderstood guy; by no means I think your artwork as a mockery, it's pretty awesome, just saying that the style is similar to that of Robot Chicken, which I like as well ~

Looking forward to some more!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE clay figures.  You're beyond amazing!!!!  I love how you stylised Shinichi here, he looks great.  I really love the jacket

I'm actually planning to go volunteer at a studio that makes Robot Chicken episodes.  I hope I get to see their awesome claymation techniques : D.  It's true that that show often makes fun of people.  But I love the technical style so I don't mind.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

I better finish the second one soon, every time I come back here to look I see more people have responded to this.
*glares at her bandaged finger for being in the way of finishing the next one.*

question though kirite, what do you mean by stylised?
(I was just trying to make him recognizable as Shinichi.)

it depends on the kind of clay you're using, I know regular clay is uncooperative stuff.
(I've made some fairly weak figurines because the clay fought me over what it would and wouldn't do.)

this is polymur clay and the figurine stands only around four inches tall.
(I'd guess yours is a fair amount bigger than that.)

We're using terra cotta clay. It's s drag bec i have to make sure there is no air stuck inside or when i put my figure head into the heater it would explode.
And when i add things to the head, i have to use slick;P

But it is a lot of fun making it:D

I know that story, we were warned rather severely that anything we made had to be absolutely dry before it was put in the kiln at school.
they didn't want anyone's work to explode and ruin everyone else's.
(I don't know what kind of clay that was though, it dried white. I think terracotta is supposed to be a rusty brown color.)

a drag but fun, interesting view on that.
