*SPOILER FREE* Discussion Thread: Detective Conan Files 865-868

This topic is for SPOILER FREE discussions of the current manga case. If you have glimpsed progression in the case that has not yet been covered by DCTP releases, this is not the correct topic to be discussing in. Spoilers from the latest case, no matter their source, may be discussed in the other topic on this case, which can be found here. Please read the rules in the first post of that topic as well!

In other words: If DCTP has not released the file in question, it is NOT to be discussed in this topic, not even in spoiler boxes.

Why is this necessary?

Due to the files making their way onto the internet in full much earlier than before, we will be experimenting with having spoiler free discussion threads for all the latest cases. This will give everyone the opportunity to proceed with following and discussing the series in the manner they are most comfortable with.

What happens with the other type of discussion topic?

They stay exactly the same. The topics that we have been discussing the files in while using spoiler boxes need to operate by the exact same rules as before, especially for the time being. There are several reasons for this. Foremost, people may accidentally stumble into that topic (either from the index or without seeing that there is a "spoiler free" topic available). As a result, the old rule of "if DCTP hasn't released it, use a spoiler box" will still apply as much as ever, at least for now.

I actually enjoy the slight change in this case (the last page with Ayumi telling Haibara that Conan is smirking is really pointless though) and the return to a more realistic backround after the nonsense of the previous case. Murder with 3 suspects after murder with 3 suspects gets a bit tiring at some points, having to identify the real owner of a cat, to deal with arson, with theft etc. is a good way to make it all a bit more refreshing, it should be done more often.

Amuro and Azusa can be a good couple if Amuro is released from BO, but Kogorou mentioned Azusa's boyfriend during Forgotten Cell Phone case in Episode 351.

Any opinion about the owner?
The hint of the "sound" seems to be too unclear O.o

2nd or 3rd, it cant be first because they use surgical glue instead of stitches these days, the neck gear thing is usually used for dogs but they exist for cats too...that might try licking etc (cats also always wash themselves by licking and this cat is smart one) my opinion is that it´s Amesawa Sougo (Freeter), but his info is way too vague so I dont know

But the 2nd guy Masuko Teishi could also be the owner

No idea what the "sound" means, also the first womans cat was probably female

It´s the first chapter at the moment so maybe we will get some info on next

finally a current of cases with no one dies.

Theres so many things can be explored in "Detective" narrative but for whatever reason, Conan most of the time stuck on murder case.

does japan love murder case? O_O
Maybe because their culture?

Don't get your hopes too high.

there used to be a way of thinking in 1800s for mystery lovers where the readers must be rewarded with a dead body for participating in solving the case, if it´s not a murder case it´s not worth of the readers time. also most of the time it´s in a sealed off manor in some island with alot of locked rooms in novels (most known & influental for the entire idea- Then There Were None/Ten Little Niggers), visual novel (umineko and 999 whatever it was), graphic novel(kindaichis every single case, conans latest Vampire Mansion case etc), other TV shows & movies (alot of these but movies like IDENTITY and even thrillers like Mindhunters )

My current suspicions lie with the second. He's allergic to cats, I'm pretty sure, so it seems to me that he perhaps tried to get rid of the cat when they were moving, then his wife told him something about the collar that made him want to get the cat back. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly special about the cat, so it seems likely that the collar is the cause of all the drama.

The BO are seriously spoiling Amuro :P. The amount of money he offered to become Mouri's apprentice, the sandwiches he buys for the agency, and now Yoko's premium ticket. Just how much more money are they willing to give him to get Mouri's trust(which he already has). Now I'm jealous ::).

It was mentioned that the cat is smart, which is something special.

Sure, but just being smart doesn't justify two people trying to steal him. Unless he's much, much smarter than the average cat, like some sort of super-cat.
