Question about File 800...

Forgive if there is another thread about this.
In File 800, Sera, Okiya and Amuro were contacted at the same time...
Spoiler: not anime safe I guess
We know Amuro was contacted by Vermouth but what about Sera and Okiya?
Maybe it was just a coincidental phone call or maybe I'm thinking too hard...

Spoiler:
you know what? I've been wondering the same thing for the longest time. They may just be random phone calls, but they can always be Chekhov's guns. What baffles me the most is the specific call Okiya was receiving. As far as we know, nobody but Conan knows that Akai's alive. Who is this person contacting him. Then there's Sera. She just moved back to Japan, and only seems to be hanging out with Ran and Sonoko. Is this a phone call from one of her other classmates, or is it from one of her contacts in the US? We don't know yet. We can sit here and theorize all we want, but if they/re important phone calls, we will for sure read about them again. Give it another 30 volumes or so.

*sigh*
By the time Gosho gives us the reason why they were on the phone, we will have forgotten the whole incident >.>

We've discussed this in chat before. If I recall correctly...
Spoiler:
The general consensus seems to be that Yukiko called Okiya. After all, they were working together on the train. If you think about it, the first place she'd go would be Shinichi's house and he probably didn't tell her someone was staying at their house (considering he didn't tell them that he turned into a kid), so it wouldn't be surprising if she walked in on him brushing his teeth just like everyone else. As for Sera, that one's trickier. Theories include Eisuke and James Black. One that just occurred to me is her parents.

Yeah, Sera's doesn't really need to be explained as much since she has so many other people that could be calling her, such as the people you mentioned or even just friends from school

*sigh* I guess so...
Spoiler:
Maybe this will take part in revealing who Sera really is, you know, other than the fact that she's Akai's sister but more of her contacts in FBI or America? Who knows.
But I'm quite sure it must be important, to put all 3 phone calls coming at the same time...

Well the main purpose of all 3 phone calls coming in at the same time was to keep the suspense of "Who is Burbon?" but still being able to show that Vermouth had some kind of promise with Bourbon that he'd just proved that he would keep, likely being that he should protect Conan.  And all 3 couldn't have been called about the same thing, because there's only one Bourbon :P

I don't think Gosho would put 3 simultaneous phone calls, you know, just for the sake of Vermouth. And these 3 people are, just for the time being, quite important to the plot...
I think I agree with Yukiko being the caller of Okiya because...there's really no one else who would call him :D

On second thought, I can totally believe that he did JUST that for the sake of Vermouth.
I mean, she's Vermouth... aka the second most mysterious character up to date.

I guess you could be right, Vermouth was semi responsible for the events on the train, but I think everyone is right...there's no way of knowing yet.
