I can't remember anymore what Yukiko said that sparked this thought, but it was something she had said in the train arc to Vermouth that made me think of something strange and creepy.....and it's probably the stupidest thing I've ever thought of....

but what if Yukiko and Yusaku are also Haibara's parents?

I can't think/find of any solid 'proof' as of yet, but... you never know, right?

I'm now watching every episode that either has them or mentions them to see if I can pick up anything.

(but for all I know it's just my imagination making wierd accusations)

Yukiko is an actress
Yusaku is a detective/writer

Shiho's parents were scientists

Yukiko is japanese
Haibara's mother was born in the UK

Haibara had an older sister who (according to the wiki) was around the age of 25
Yukiko is 37

I can go on, but I won't.

I totally agree that it's not at all suggested in the manga that Shiho and Shinichi are siblings. But it is possible that Akemi and Shiho aren't biological siblings and Shiho was somehow "given" to the Miyanos as a baby. Shiho and Shinichi are possibly around the same age. But I can also say that Shiho could be the daughter of Vermouth and BO boss, Fusae and Agasa, etc. Ultimately, I don't see any reason whatsoever to believe that Shiho is the daughter of Yukiko and Yusaku so it seems highly unlikely.

Shiho is 18, Shinichi is 17.

But Akemi, Shiho's sister, was 25 when she died, about 8 or 9 years older than Shiho. Also, Haibara's parents' identities are kind of a big deal, and from what we've seen of her mother she kinda looks like both Shiho and Akemi in different ways.

It's a crack theory and nothing more. The OP wrote:

This is all just based on a gut feeling and nothing more than the imagination of the reader.

I remember visiting J. K. Rowling's website in which there was a section where fans could ask questions and she'd answer. Many questions were in the line of "Is Dumbeldor actually Harry's grandfather?" and other crack theories related to the relativity of other characters. Rowling (in her responses) blamed Star Wars for this.
Some people simply wish to have more twists, and some people dig the "I'm your lost brother/father/mother/etc." twists.

Yukiko is 37(Conandrill & DCWorld both have this) and retired/marrried at age 20(she said it herself=episode 43), Shinichi's age fits nicely into this, Shiho's 18 is impossible b/c Yukiko was a very busy actress in her 18-19 year old range and it is unlikely for her to secretly give birth to a child at the same time.

More concrete evidence is that Haibara doesn't look Japanese(Conan mentioned this EP 329  and confirmed by Haibara in Ep422), and admitted herself that she is half-japanese  in Ep422. So logic definately support the argument that Elena is Haibara/Shiho's biological mother. Please stop making posting weird thoughts if you couldn't find some evidence to support it.

The far more interesting thing I'd question is why Vermouth was bothered by cats during her phone call to the computer programmer(Ep329, Agasa's conversation with Conan).

The quotes in question:
