A Mistake by GA

If you noticed in episode
Jodie said a new member assigned with the codename Bourbon also Amuro
and after that on the
Amuro was suspicious on the begining when Akai as Dai entered the BO and though he was with the FBI so 5 years ago Akai already stopped investigating the BO,it couldn't be that Amuro tried 5 years to enter the BO,huh,that means he couldn't be suspicious...
ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THAT????!!!?

Akai was in BO 5 to 2 years ago. Mean his cover blow two years ago and he leave. That 3 years period is the one Amuro keep suspect Akai.
Amuro was in BO far back enough to meet Haibara's parent. That's around 10 to 15 years ago.

The Anime is separate from the Manga. This will not be wrong until that episode is released to the public. Please find the manga chapter for your episode and check that.

All I kind say is maybe the BO is older then we know . . .
If Haibara was about three when her parents dies that means he would have been a BO member at least 15 years. It really is a question of how old was Haibara when her parents died?

Maybe Bourbon was stripped of his codename for some reason and then reactivated, and since Kir didn't know this she said he was a new member?
(I'm probably grasping for straws here, but meh, whatever. ^^;)

By 'new member' she may have meant that he is only going on active duty now, not necessarily that he was only recruited into the organisation now.

Maybe Kir was lied to so she wouldn't do any background checks on Bourbon and to test if she was really with the Black organisation

"New member" could also mean someone new to her. The FBI and the CIA should be keeping track of whatever information they can, including a list of known BO members. To them a new member could be someone they had not previously heard of and who was not on the list, not necessarily someone new to the organization.

maybe he just got promoted, don't forget that BO is quite a big organization, so maybe he was a subordinate that just got to level with code name. this go along with hypothesis that said that Amuro hated Akai because Akai rose the rank in rapid speed, while he's been with the organization for a while (long enough to know Ai's parents) and still not get promoted.
When the story of Akai infiltrating to BO was told (forget which episode), it sounds that code name is a recognition and honour for select BO members only.

I thought about it, but it couldn't be, because when Amuro asked Kidbara if the name 'Bourbon' meant anything she said that Bourbon had a rivalry with Dai Moroboshi. This is only possible if Bourbon already had a codename back when Akai was still in the Organisation.

On the train in might make some sense, as the compartments have limited space. A door opening into the compartment would limit the space further.
It would be unlikely for a hotel, however, as it poses a security and safety issue. It's still a matter of how the rooms ate laid out, though. There could be something that makes it more practical for the doors to open out.

Yes. If Kaito Kid was to be involved in an event within the train, then opening doors and locking them into place would reduce Kid's chances to flee.

If it opened into the compartment it would hit anyone sitting beside the door.
