Re: the spoiler free threads
And how do you know if they've seen the spoilers ? That's way too complicated a rule.
"I wonder if there really is a God...
If such an entity really existed, wouldn't all honest, hard-working people be happy?"

Did that person spoil it by accident? he got in a wrong thread or don't understand the rule. from what I see. It's about how people act according to rule rather the rule itself.
BTW. "Spoiler free" confuse me every time. I mean I know it mean no spoiler are permitted. But from non English speaker like me it seem like "free place to spoil" in first glance. Can we just call it "no spoiling" or something?
And LoL. I just remember when Chekhov post deduction of "Cold case" case and someone ask her if she just read the spoiler because she got it correct!

The point 4869 made was that it could be misinterpreted by non-native speakers, which is a valid point. I'd hope them reading the first post would clear that up though.
As for spoiler readers posting in non-spoiler threads, I think it should be allowed as long as they try not to let the extra knowledge show in any deductions. Plus, they might want to talk about plot implications from the latest English translated file (and not revealed in the spoilers) to everyone and restricting their access... well, as long as people are sensible I don't see why they should have that freedom taken from them. Repeat offenders are a different matter, but I really hope it won't come to that

I agree with Stoppy.
The point is not to prevent people from posting in certain threads, but to prevent people from posting spoilers in certain threads.

At the end, if you actually see a spoiler or a deduction that features a spoiler (the next file that wasn't released yet by DCTP), you can report it and someone will banish the spoiler to the Shadow Realm soon enough.
