Why is this necessary?

Due to the files making their way onto the internet in full much earlier than before, we will be experimenting with having spoiler free discussion threads for all the latest cases. This will give everyone the opportunity to proceed with following and discussing the series in the manner they are most comfortable with.

What happens with the other type of discussion topic?

They stay exactly the same. The topics that we have been discussing the files in while using spoiler boxes need to operate by the exact same rules as before, especially for the time being. There are several reasons for this. Foremost, people may accidentally stumble into that topic (either from the index or without seeing that there is a "spoiler free" topic available). As a result, the old rule of "if DCTP hasn't released it, use a spoiler box" will still apply as much as ever, at least for now.


If you have comments on this system, which I note is temporary and in the midst of a trial run here, please do so in the designated topic over in Issues & Suggestions instead of the one you're reading now. It will be much easier for everyone that way.

Sera needs to learn how to be less conspicuous when trying to steal peoples' prints/numbers while stalking them.

2. Looks' like Conan has wised up a bit since the last chapter ... doesn't want to give Sera his fingerprints! haha (a trick we suspect he is all too familiar with =D )

The way DBz ran into murderer while camping thing reminds me a bit of the Desperate Revival Arc, so maybe we will see the antidote used.

Sera's "I run into because of Fate"explanation is A. Stalker B. SeraXShinichi.

I am going to guess this is a 3 file small case to serve as the lead in to the Bourbon Arc Conlcusion 6+ file case on the Bell Tree Express Train.

speaking of which, I'm excited that the APTX antidote was mentioned in this chapter. Though it probly won't make an appearance this case, I'm hoping it means it'll be used in the near future.

This is a sort of overarching theory, so I wanna post it here too, since something in this file really helped me get the guesses straight.

You know, along with Amuro being suspicious about Sera phoning, he may be remembering that on the highway, the car that supposedly belonged to Agasa was different than a yellow Beetle. So, in addition to his Sera suspicion, he has that look because he's wondering why the car is different than the one he saw. To be honest, at this point and with what's happened so far, I don't think it'd be a far cry to say that Amuro thinks Okiya is Agasa, since he paid most attention to him on the highway (and he doesn't really have many other names to attach to Okiya). Right now, Amuro has only heard of Agasa, that he's a guy that made a pretty useful gadget for a little kid and was involved in the chase. Since Okiya was driving and Okiya began to pull the 'shoot the tires from the car' trick - which Amuro noticed - it would be believable to say Amuro connected the dots in such a way that Okiya="Agasa". If I'm right about that, I think that when/if Amuro meets the real Agasa, his reaction will be pretty funny :X

As for Sera, Amuro obviously saw and noticed her on the highway, making the connection to Akai. If he was around to hear Sera questioning about Agasa's Beetle - not knowing that she was actually asking to go after Conan, not Agasa - he'd have even more reason to believe Okiya="Agasa". I'm guessing that Amuro has a sneaking suspicion that Okiya is Akai, so the thought of Sera asking about "Agasa" (in Amuro's case, Okiya/Akai) makes the sister/brother connection even more likely, even though he's off track.

I personally think this makes quite a bit of sense, and have gotten a few agreements from others. Though, I would like any holes to be pointed out, so posting it around helps to find more people that can give an opinion on it :V


...In addition, Oh my gosh, I think that a case on this Bell Tree Express Train sounds AWESOME

Pretty sure he made a pun in the original and Abs. was trying to make that apparent in the translation.

And yeah, Sera's being pretty obvious about her stalking/attempted print/phone number gathering. That alone tells me she's a good guy. The bad guys are a bit smoother.

Am I the only one who thinks Sera's just a little too obsessed with Conan?  I mean, she's not even being subtle.

Also, new theory (for me) about what might have been going through Okiya's mind when he told Ai that it was his territory - keeping her out of the line of sight of the BO, telling her he would take care of it and for her to keep out of it so she wouldn't get herself into more trouble.



I'm 99% certain Akai knows Conan=Shinichi, in part because it's about 99% certain he's realized Ai=Shiho, due to his connection to Akemi.

I've been thinking that for a while too. More and more of her actions support that crack idea of her being a pero she already has Conan's cell number and now she's trying to Ai's.  Or maybe she grapped Ran's phone to call him a few cases ago.
So they phase out the detective boy badges when I wasn't looking or would those also be out of range?
So they're in Gunma they better watch out for phantom FDs 86s and Yamamura

I think Okiya will do anything to protect Haibara and Conan as Conan has no say after his identity was exposed. Akai and Okiya are my favorite character. I suddenly like Amuro for no reason, probably it's peer group has me thinking who's hot or not because Amuro, Okiya, Akai, Takagi and Yusaku got me excited with cases they investigating which making them interesting character. That's why I like about Detective Conan, Gosho did not limit to few main characters in each case. And also include female who bring in romantic story. Sera isn't, I was stating how cool is DC with them together along with Shinichi's family to bring story forward.  

That alone tells me she's a good guy. The bad guys are a bit smoother. Tongue

He would give Haibara's number too if he called on Sera's smartphone(I guess?). Also noticed that when he noticed Sera was coming, he immediately wanted to call Haibara.

Also, Amuro changed expression 4 times.He went from talking to fake happy to observant to PSYCHO. Perfect spy xD

i swear Sera stalk skill is really bothering me. is she have GPS on conan or something

Yeah the way Sera is staliking Conan is too obvious,which makes be think she's not a BO member...

Anyway,I really hope that we'll see Shiho^^I don't know why Gosho would show the antidote if nobody will take it...
I don't think this case will lead to the conclusion of the Bourbon arc,I'm pretty sure we'll have Sera/Ai confrontation,which would be even better if Ai is in her real appearance^^
