668

Post by Rellik »

Note: ppl who hav not yet seen 668 should not go any further than this sentence, unless u want to.

Anyways, i can't be bothered posting on 'The Scar' topic since i don't feel like adding any spoilers. So who do you think is the serial killer and who is the boy in the woman's past, or do you think they are both the same person?

What i think is the serial killer is the dark skinned guy, since if you were driving, the blood from the scar would only leak to your trousers (depending on how u were sitting) and not onto the rest of the seat.

Dunno about the boy though, but my 'japanese name pun' senses is tingling :P

Anyways to end this post:

Image

My respect for Conan/Shinichi has dropped down drastically after seeing that  :D

Did you remember gosho had used Haibara as a victim of static electric ? even thought she is a scientist, and should've known how to deal with it, but gosho potrayed her as someone who scared and didn't know how to deal with it....

It is the same of conan on this file, i should say he is a victim "for the sake of some lame fanservice"  :( :(

I though that static sub-plot was strange, too, but I asked a chemist relative, and she never really learned to ground herself to avoid static. She definitely grew up in a static charge prone cold winter climate, we don't know where in the U.S. Haibara really grew up. In humid places like Florida, it's something one would never, or almost never, face. Her ignorance was not implausible, really. Haibara also tends to try to avoid problems rather than face them (suicide attempt, avoiding Ran, never telling Conan about Vermouth or the Boss's number even though its obvious she knew about both, warning Conan away from using the Boss's number to gain information about the Org.). It's in character. The point was despite her occasional warnings about relying too much on technology, she relied on anti-static gadgets until Shin'ichi taught her a trick to use so she could rely on herself, giving her even more respect for Shin'ichi.

As for this, it's perfectly in character. He's male. Aoyama even makes it a point to show in some "fanserivce" scenes that Conan is attracted to Ran in particular, not just any girl in skimpy clothing. What has Aoyama written that makes you think it shouldn't be in character?

In my opinion, Conan is totally in character there. He's a japanese boy, too shy to admit, that he likes Ran and to see her naked and to know at the same moment, that she thinks he is a kid... it's a difficult situation for him. But he can't refuse her complety, cause then maybe she would suspect something. So he was strong and said "but".

If you read "Ranma 1/2", you'll know that Ranma has deep respect for Akane - his fiance - thus he didn't do anything inappropriate to her.  I always thought Conan/Shinichi was a man with uprightness like Ranma's, but well !

Does Gosho mean to show that Japanese nowadays are more prone to Western styles ?

Do you think the look on Ran's face tells you, "I've known Conan = Shinichi" ? ... because right after Conan finished, she decided NOT to take a bath with him.

PS: baka1412 : I don't know what you meant by "static electric" ???

Conan's dead meat when he's back to Shinichi, that's for sure lol
Spoiler:
The first time they went to the bath I thought Conan felt Ran's ***** from his back... lol@wildthoughts ;D :P
BTW I thought a scar eventually heals up after a few years max; how rare for it to have lasted 30 years.
And do scars expand w/the person's growth?

Well, i think Conan is the same in his behaviour towards Ran as Ranma to Akane. I don't see a difference there.
And Ran definetly did not suspect Conan to be Shinichi in that situation. I think she just didn't want to go alone.

Oh, and static electric.. maybe you remember the case, where Ai put on her sweater and afterwards she got a small electric "shock" (don't know the word in English).

Spoiler:
Well, that's the same thing I though about. A scar can definetly be seen even after 30 years. But the length.. wait for Chapter 669 ;-)
