The aim of the BO

What do you think might be the aim of the organisation?

I often heard that it might be related to the immortility of the boss. But if that´s the case then APTX... is the key for that, but why did they give it to Gin to execute enemies(like they tried on shinichi).

I figured they're going for immortality. APTX 4869 was given to Gin to use as a poison because tests showed that it was unsuitable as an elixir of immortality on account of it brutally killing the test subjects. They're unaware that it did, in a way, bring youth to two human subjects. Odds are there are other strains of APTX that they're working on.

This is a decent introduction to two of the three main theories I have seen. The third is taking over the world/criminal underworld/Japan/the pharmaceutical industry, but I don't think the Black Org has such lofty goals.

I'm in the immortality camp and my views on the matter are in that blue link in my sig.

My Opinion is also Immortality Camp, though I think they are using the drug to find more subjects.

You can find more about it in this thread http://forum.dctp.ws/viewtopic.php?t=3484.0 and here http://forum.dctp.ws/viewtopic.php?t=2577.0

The aim of such a huge crime organization like the B.O. is one or more of the following:
1. To get rich
2. Political power
3. Immortality

Yeah I also think the aim is firstly the Increasing-Lifespan drug, hence leading to Money, hence leading to Power. :D I duno if the Boss also has a personal reason for wanting an increased/eternal lifespan, though.

I kinda think that the "raising the dead" theory is the same as the immortality theory - I don't think 'raising the dead' is supposed to be taken literally, I'm guessing that it just means stopping people from dying, "against the stream of time" by making them younger. so it's death defying in that way.

I bet it went like this:
Spoiler:
something happened to Vermouth that made her aging stop.
the Boss noticed this and wanted the same.
others got wind of this-> bloody conflict.
Boss decided it's best to keep this all secret.
he hired more guards but noticed it started to costs too much for his liking (he wanted more money and power).
Evil Idea strikes:
"I have these killers under my disposal doing nothing,why don't I use heir skills to gain some money?"
and from their research they might have gotten something money worthy too.
to protect himself and his research he started killing traitors,demanded absolute loyalty and secrecy.
and to protect himself from getting assassinated by his goons who would want his position ,no one except vermouth and few very trusted members knew his identity.To protect himself he started using Email as only way to contact him.
And to keep himself from getting into his goons hitlist on accident he started working on some job that would keep him as far away from criminals and crimes as possible.
and after many other things BO was born...xDDD
Aims:
* Immortality/Anti-aging/prolonged youth
* power & money
* secrecy so only few could benefit from the research.Only the scientists and boss knows the Anti-Aging thing and the scientists work in environment that once they finish,they could be killed easily

does this make any sense?

IMO it is either imortality or Zombie Apocaplypse(there is no other way to explain "Raise the Dead", "against the stream of time" can be explained many way), with the former being more likely. Although I am still unsure what they need the computer programs for.

Well, naturally, if they're causing a Zombie Apocalypse, they need a personal Resident Evil Tokyo game programmed for them so they can prepare in case their hordes turn on them.
