Another anokata post

Post by jahithber »

Most people try to match people to anokata but I rarely see the other way around. Let me explain how this works.
Let's assume anokata's the main character in a story. What will the story be? What is it about? If you are anokata, what would you do?
Essentially to catch a criminal, we need to think like a criminal.

With that being said let's first analyze his characteristics by looking at a few questions, from the more important things to less important things.

1. what is his motive for organize the criminal activities?
From the known activities by the BO, it seems to be heavily involved with politics, finance and scientific research. It doesn't look like the BO is the stereotypical mafia organizations, which are mostly profit driven. In addition, unlike ordinary mafia, the BO is always trying to hide its existence as much as possible. From these hints I have a guess that BO is military related and is possibly researching for war technology.
As a conclusion of that, anokata might be a government official or some significant political figure, or even some political leader. This might help us narrowing down the search criteria.

2. what are some of the things he will do in order to accomplish his goals? And what is he capable of doing.
Anokata is definitely willing to kill. He also does not hesitate to conduct human experiment. He is also willing to eliminate members within the organization as he see fit. Sacrificing others for his own sake is definitely a trace of his personality. Whoever cannot accomplish that can be ruled out from our guess list. Anokata is also capable of ruling his underlings. Only people who certain charms can create a degree of royalty that he can. So this person must have some forms of charms.

3. this one is very important, what are some of the things he will never do no matter for what reasons?
Anokata however, seems to have a particular favor to Vermouth. It looks like no matter what, he will not punish her. Anokata also seems to have a code of moral of his own. He is definitely not the type of people that are willing to do anything to accomplish their goals. The hard question here is, what exactly is his code of moral? At least we know anokata strictly follows some rules.

4. what is he afraid of? why does he do something that seems to be out of reasons?
Anokata seems to avoid FBI and again seems to be afraid of being publicized. He however, also fears of the so-called silver bullet. This might mean he has sometimes in the past failed or got significantly hurt by an individual of his opposite faction. This gives some hint to his age as well as his history.

5. what are some of his habits?
Like nanatsu no ko, like wine, etc.

etc.

And last but not least, anokata is a frictional character. He therefore must be modeled after one if not a few real life examples. Gosho, his creator, is raised and educated in Japan. It's highly possible that he has modeled the BO from the society in Japan. However, I'm not quite familiar with Japanese politics or social structures, I won't be able to make any comments on that.

With these being said, let the match begin!

From the programmer case, it was said that an objective of the BO was something that was compared to raising the dead and going against the stream of time (I forget the exact words) and Ai did tell Conan that he was already part of the whole experiment which is already decades in the making. There are several fan theories which assume that the BO experiments are likely related to lengthening one's life span. (This is why apotoxin sort of stunts cell growth -- dunno if stunt is the apt term, but you get the drift) I'm partial to fan theories that the apotoxin is actually the core research of the BO.

Take note that the song that corresponds to the BO's boss phone translates to the seven baby crows. Crows are black, explaining the outfit (uniform? lol) of its members. Also in mythology and pop culture, crows are usually associated with death or looming death. So yeah, I think BO is built on life/death-related researches.

Oh and silver bullet, other than being another alcoholic drink, can kill ware wolves. Therefore  anokata is a ware wolf and the research is about turning him to a man again loljk.

I think it would be better if we try to think like Gosho here. I think he's the kind of guy who would hate it if he antagonizes a well-known, fairly regular character so I think he would make anokata a stranger or make anokata appear nearing the end of the series to pose as someone, or it's someone presumed to be dead or missing but has been named/talked about since the earlier chapters.

Very interesting method, and it could work.  Ultimately, though, we'll not likely know Anokata's identity until Gosho finally beats us in the face with it.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.
