Shinichi's apparent learning disability

Ok... so maybe that is a bit harsh to call it a "learning disability." But the guy seriously does not learn! Everytime there is a litte trouble that he can't handle as Conan, he breaks out the bowtie and pretty much announces to the world (and by extension the BO) "HEY! I'M STILL ALIVE AND KICKING GUYS!"
I mean seriously... Someone is going to talk eventually... And then there is Ran.... how many times has he made her suspicious and had to convince her otherwise? I mean... there has to be an end at some point. This time was especially stupid doing it blatantly in front of the kids. How they have not said anything to Ran yet is beyond me... I mean a regular kid would be like "hey hey! Ran do you know Conan uses his bowtie to speak as this guy named "Shin'ichi?" This is all the while Agasa AND Haibara tell him "SHUT UP! YOU CAN'T LET ANYONE KNOW YOU ARE ALIVE!"
He has revealed himself TWICE since Sera came about. That makes me think Sera really IS Bourbon and is just baiting him, and he is falling for it. Shinichi needs others to cover his ass, Haibara especially... I'm just waiting for her to turn around and say "Nope, I am not giving you the prototype, you were stupid enough to reveal yourself to [insert character here], you can convince them that you are not Shinichi. Good luck meitantei-san."
Now you mad discuss Shinichi's stupidity, and possibly Sera's intelligence for baiting him so well.

his stupidity list:
- show in Teitan school during the drama show. (desperate revival arc)
- Going to london using shinichi passport
- Use Bow-tie in front of Sera in the Hotel
- Act as shinichi in conan's phone

I'm waiting for her to turn around and nail him in the junk, but your idea works too.

I am now tempted to put this in the 'Things I want to see before the series ends' topic. This is just gold

After reading the latest file, I very nearly head-desked. Honestly, Kudo needs to stop his "Oh, I've got to pretend to be Shinichi to save the day again!" bit, it's going to get him killed.

Actually, I dont care anymore if he will get killed. but the main problem is all people around him will also going to get injured / killed because he is being revealed

I've heard the idea of Shinichi being a "infallible" character, but the truth is I think these acts of stupidity are Gosho's way of differing him from that. These faults humanize him in a way that makes him believable. I mean it's true, no argument, there are obvious instances of him being a total idiot but he's a teenager. He may be a super genius but he's still a teenager and by nature teenager's tend to be absent-minded
Plus, if it wasn't for these lapses in intellect we wouldn't have some of our best plot developments

Something you learn from teenager superheroes. Am I the only one who reads Ultimate Spider-Man here?

I was thinking the same way when i read the latest file....what if Sera is really Bourbon but i know it's pretty impossible unless an evidence show-up.

From the very first time that he could easily be seen talking into the bow tie in front of a sleeping person, and no one notices it, well.... I had to really adapt to this being the reality of the scenario. Of course in real life, you cannot get away with this. In the manga world, it just happens that everyone doesn't see it and really think the sleeping person is actually....talking!!
>__> You just have to learn and live to adapt with it. Same goes for the fact that people have seen Shinichi as someone who is pretty much "alive" just by appearing in his normal teenage state. And the BO are either pretending not to notice this or they're just waiting for something to really "happen". <___<

Well, at least this way, there's some hope for BO plot development. Then everyone can kill Shinichi for whipping out his bowtie and phone two times in a row.

Like, say, how he got shrunk in the first place for example? Yeah I have to agree that him having these instances with his impulsiveness, his big ego and his tendencies to be short sighted are ways that he manages to remain consistent with how he managed to get in the mess he's currently in. That and it's true about him being a teenager; he's not going to have the cognitive maturity he would probably have when he reaches adulthood.

there are things you should't give to much of a thought about...
as mentioned above, the whole bowtie-sleeping persons-goes-unregocnized thing especially if you think about the source of sound(voice)... in many cases conan is somewhere in the room where a decent human being would regocnize that the voice of kogoro isn't originating from kogoro's body but somewhere else... the only cases in which this doesn't apply are the ones with agasa or the speakerbutton...
i want to believe that his late hotheadedness/stupidity is just an introduction for an upcoming Ranconspicuousarc

It's more likely that it's for Sera to have it confirmed, based on the setup she's going to confront him about it. So, she's either an ally or Shinichi's in serious trouble.

Either of those things would be some sort of interesting plot development. I'm hoping she's connected to Akai, the BO, or both, personally. Especially both.
