In chapter 603 vodka asks gin if he got any calls from an informant. I think it might be important later in the story.

I double checked with the chapter really quick, and I think that the "informant" is Kusuda.  Gin says that the informant is a plan ordered to be implemented by Anokata just to be sure, and that he never really relied on the informant - which, to me, would make sense if the informant was Kusuda, since the B.O. already knew about Rena's whereabouts from Vermouth so they didn't really need Kusuda, and Kusuda doesn't seem all that smart either so Gin wouldn't rely on him - which is interesting, because that means that Gin / the B.O. started the attack toward the hospital without the knowledge that Kusuda is dead - so why did they choose that specific time to attack the hospital?  Hmm.

I can't think of any other possibilities right now, but good catch!

Well, it's always possible that Gosho used the fact that we would assume the conversation to be about Kusuda Rikumichi to drop a very discreet hint about a still-active informant. However, when you take into account that, at the time, we were supposed to be suspicious of Camel, it makes it a lot less likely for there to be someone besides Kusuda. I doubt that there would be that many layers to this.

I need to reread that section, I don't remember the bit about Vermouth at all.

Actually, what seems more suspicious to me was that Gin knew that Camel was caught up in a case a few files later. That points much more strongly to an informant, in my opinion.

True - and now it seems likely that there's another informant - ha ha this is what I get for quickly skimming over a chapter instead of reading a few chapters before and after - apparently the B.O. noticed that their "main contact" was lost and they "sent in another one," and that other person apparently somehow knew that there were a lot of FBI in the building (File 599 p.2).

My bad, she figured out that Rena was in some kind of a hospital, but she didn't figure out which one (File 599 p.3).

Ha ha I had a really elaborate theory on how Bourbon is a good guy working with Akai and therefore Akai dropped some unimportant info to Bourbon (the stories I come up with . . . I mean I'm not quite abandoning that theory yet but it does seem less likely).  Anyway, it's probably the second informant that Vodka mentioned (File 599 p.2).

Maybe that second informant turns out to be Bourbon, or something? XD  I kind of doubt it right now, since Kir said that Bourbon was new, or at least that he's just started to move a few chapters later (I think about twenty?) - but I guess that Bourbon is possible, though it seems to me that the informant is a disposable small fry like Kusuda . . .

He's sneaking off while Eri is in the office to watch Conan. The cat that led the Shonen Tantei-Dan to the case where the guy murdered his brother is Goro's underling- and the true murderer.

There is also another informant to consider- the one who spotted scar Akai at the Department Store in Beika near Teito bank. I don't have any good ideas who it might be. Perhaps Gin sent a lackey to buy some turtlenecks on sale?
