I'm just sorta hoping that because when this airs in the anime, the anime will be pretty caught up plot-wise to the manga, that that means that we'll be gettin more plot in the manga soon
...probably won't happen but I can hope.

I don't see how that makes much sense.
From what I understand, it should be about time for the Okiya Subaru equivalent of 345 or even Clash of Red and Black in the manga since it's the beginning of the year though.

neither do I tbh. But I feel like it would be as good a time as any to get plot development happening.
edit: I guess my reasoning could be defined sort of like someone who's riding up on your bumper, you don't actually have any reason to go faster but it makes you feel like you should.

I don't think it's time for the finale yet. Bourbon hasn't made a definitive move yet, he's kind of scoping out the FBI's reactions. He's barely shown up at all. Bourbon will get much closer to the truth before the finale rolls around. Akai hasn't done anything either. It does however seem to be awhile since our last plot related chapter. The break does make me hopeful Gosho has something like this in the works. It will probably take the format of another Okiya appearance or a scar Akai one. Scar Akai still hasn't stalked out James Black.
Also this thread.
