Sorry for opening a topic just to ask this , but I'm tired of reading filler cases

I just wanted to ask which files in the "Latest files" section in the Manga Viewer have main plot or backround story importance ?

Who knows, but there's always that possibility that something going on in a current manga case, might play a role in a later one.

going by the anime list (but based off of manga cases) for a second. And during the most "filler" like part of the series too.

Moonlight Sonata Murder Case - Important to understanding Conan's POV in 3rd Heiji case
Ayumi-chan Kidnapping Case - introduces skateboard and confirms Mitsuhiko's feelings for Ayumi.
The Strange Person Hunt Murder Case - Miyano Akemi intro.
Missing Corpse Murder Case - Referenced in the first Haibara case
The Antique Collector Murder Case -...I admit, I don't know if this is referenced.
A June Bride Murder Case - Introduces Matsumoto
A Haunted Mansion Murder Case - first DB case, manga-wise. Creates a joke that is used again in Desperate Revival.
Luxury Liner Serial Murder Case - referenced in two different cases (the first time is basically the start of the first case where Ran thinks Conan = Ran, the other is the reason they are on a train), one of the characters appears in the first Kid case
Kogoro's Class Reunion Murder Case - great character development, introduces Kogoro's JUDO THROW OF DEATH, Conan bathes with Ran scene is referenced at least twice
TV Station Murder Case - referenced in first Eri case
Coffee Shop Murder Case - first Eri case
Mountain Villa Bandaged Man Murder Case - first Sonoko case, first Sonoko's sister appearance, first Sleeping Sonoko case, referenced in 2nd Eisuke case, directly leads into another case
Akaoni Village Fire Festival Murder Case - introduces the power shoes manga-wise if I remember correctly
Wealthy Daughter Murder Case - one of the characters reappears in the first Kid case
Karaoke Box Murder Case - the band is referenced at least one other time, leads directly into next case
Edogawa Conan Kidnapping Case - first appearance of Yusaku, Yukiko and Night Baron, Yukiko's fat disguise character is referenced later I think?
Alpine Hut In The Snowy Mountain Murder Case - got nothing
Diplomat Murder Case - first Heiji case, first return of Shinichi, introduces that alcahol that turns him back
Library Murder Case - continuation of last case and ends Conan's hopes of drinking enough to become older
The Mist Goblin Legend Murder Case - I dunno
Game Company Murder Case - TEQUILA

etc.

If that case is 84-85 then it is the first / and possibly last case where Conan used Ran to solve it using the earring Cell Phone.

Two seeming important things happened. First I remember Kogoro almost getting killed as a test of his bravery.
Also (?) first sliding puzzle dying message

1. no, that is a different case around the 40s.
2. While that is true, there doesn't seem to be any even barely obvious character development and it's never referenced again from what I remember. I mean, sure it was fun to see just how different Sleeping Kogoro and normal Kogoro are but they've done better examples of that and basically point it out quite often.

However, that was a bit more ok in the early chapters because of the originality (at least for Conan since, obviously, it was still a fairly new manga) of the cases back then and because the quality of the cases was typically much better. And references to stuff that happened forever ago usually work better the longer the series goes on (as long as people remember the case of course). For example, I didn't think Ikaku Rock was that good but referencing that fun fishing case that happened around the same time as the CELL PHONE arc certainly helped (as did Okiya Subaru being awesome).
