If he turns out to be Bourbon, he's going to try to kidnap Ai/Conan to take them back to the Org, and get his ass kicked for it- possibly by Ran again, or maybe the FBI.

If he's Akai, he's going to get into a fight with whoever's pretending to be Akai.

If he's genuinely some poor random student, he's going to get shot by Gin.

Well I doubt ran can kick his ass considering what happened when she kick him the first time. She noticed that he let him. So I'm thinking he has some pretty good moves lol. I never really got why people still think Okiya is akai if there is a guy roaming around that looks exactly like him and ha burn marks.

a) because that kind of stuff can be faked, and b) the last time we thought someone was a person that they looked exactly like, our suspected Vermouth turned out to be Jodie.

But thats totally different. Yea we thought vermouth was jodie but there was alotof evidence pointing towards that. There really isn't much pointing to okiya being akai. And now that there is someone who looks just like akai and has burns I'd pretty much say that squashes the Okiya/Akai theory.

I think possible evidence has been discussed in another thread, so I won't get into it here, but it exists. Mostly, I guess, it's just the DC fans' paranoia that when it comes to plot, nothing is as it seems. It never has been.

Hi, I'm the resident hardcore Okiya = Akai theorist. ;D Click that link in my sig or click here for a comprehensive list of evidence Okiya is Akai and evidence that scar Akai is not Akai. In short, there is oodles of evidence if you read closely enough.

Oh wow you have some pretty good evidence. I like a challenge. I will get some evidence of my own ;D

It's solid evidence, in my opinion. (I hadn't actually noticed that they were left-handed, but that's a good point) Therefore, liable to be something happening between him and whoever Scar Akai is.
