I am pretty sure the whole Pandora thing doesn't exist in DC. It's too "out of genre." Kaito Kid will either stay as a cameo the whole time, never explaining what he is really looking for or there will be another more sensible explanation about why his father was killed and what he is looking for and why.Kor wrote:it has been said. This is basically my ultimate wish, because I really don't want Kaito Kid to get involved. Kaito Kid already had his manga. combining the two would be confuzing and force conan fans to read it as well (that is unless Gosho will explain in Conan about Kaito's motives, but again, this is Detective Conan, and not Magic Kaito)

In any case, I think the two organizations might be connected, not just via wishful thinking. I mean, can you see an organization like the BO sharing uber-mafia turf? They're more likely to be happier with complete control over the infiltration and shadow-lurking markets. If they were seperate, there'd be turf war- I doubt they could spare the twenty or so goons Snake occasionally brings along to Kid heists.
I don't know if the MK storyline will be resolved in DC, but i'd like it to be, because I'd hate to see Toichi go unavenged... Besides, the two manga do seem to have merged somewhat. Aoyama-sansei dropped MK after a fairly short period of time, but he did give Kaito a recurring role in DC, whereas Yaiba never got more than the one cameo in MK...
