I couldn't find an accurate transcription of the sheet music Seven Baby Crows song (Nanatsu no ko) so I did one myself from the recording at:
http://bulldog2.redlands.edu/dept/AsianStudiesDept/music_ed/baby_crows.htm
That link also has a beautiful recording of the song too...
Well if anyone is interested here is a link to the sheet music for it:
Comparing this from the manga they both start off with B

I found out something interesting about the origins of this song (
http://bulldog2.redlands.edu/dept/Asian ... oguchi.htm)
and one of the interesting points is that the title "Nanatsu no ko" translates to either
Seven Children or
Seven-year-old-child
which I don't know if any of you find peculiar ...where the boss in DC is called using this song (perhaps it is another reference to APTX4869 that it shrinks people to 6-7yr old kids... which is Conan's and Haibara's apparent age)
more speculation: the boss is seven years old? =P

Pretty interesting find. I was wondering where to get the original source of the Boss's ring tone. ^^ This is very helpful.

Hum...
In the manga is revelaed that the "supposed" Seven Crows e-mail adress is #969#6261.
I've tried to dial the number on my cellphone several times but it doesn't sound like it sounds on the 425 episode.
I know Gosho wrote this way to avoid prank calls, but I wanted to test is to see if the numbers actually made that sound
Anyone apart from has tried it? It's quite odd

When I first listened to this song, I couldn't believe that the D.O. actually had such a peaceful song as their code!

Does this children folksong have anything to do with the Dark Org's past ?
Let's wait and see!

Haibara=8, Conan=7, Boss=7? Maybe so, but there is a possibility that he shrunk too...

In one of the Stradivarius episodes, the numbers he dialed were 0858, which sound the same as the ep when I dialed that on my cell. I thought it sounded kinda like the beginning of "Mary Had A Little Lamb" but maybe it's just me... I really dunno anything about music

Where in 425/manga did you see #969#6261?

the first five notes, yes, have the same relative pitches, yes but that's all.
also the person with perfect pitch in the Stradivarius file tells Conan that its probably Nanatsu no ko song (and Conan believes him too -- I would believe him as well)
As for how/when he figured out those exact numbers -- it was Conan who did it after trying several different permutations, and it was one of the older files ( I can't remember which file though :/ )

There is something that didn't occured to you.
(Well sure i have no idea what sort of things actually J. have but)
Why would such a song be number in the first place?
What - all numbers in Japan have a certain melody? Like say ahh - Asterix? =)

I think this must be the number of 'that person', because with this numbers you can play the song on your cell phone.
@ Spimer: I dunno how you came to #969#6261.
I also don't know how it sounds in 425, and how it's explaind in the manga, so I'm not sure.
