did anyone notices that conan seems to stand out more in the recent cases rather than kogoro?

the last case that the sleeping kogoro appeared was in file 628-630 "coffee with murderous intent"..
but in that case we can see that takagi and megure was expecting to hear conan say something weird that becomes the clue to solving the case(http://www.dctp.ws/V60-Reader/V60-12English/A3.html)..

and there was one case where megure said to conan, 'I always thought it was mouri who was cursed.. but now it actually seems to be you who always bump into cases..' but i don't remember the chapter and i can't find it..

this is a list of arcs after the shiragami case..
1. file 655-657: toxic sushi
2. file 658- 660: best kojima
3. file 661-663: white witch
4. file 664-666: ikkaku rock
5. file 667-669: destiny's scar
6. file 670-673: let it be
7. file 674-676: iron tanuki
8. file 677-679: red robbery
9. file 680-686: the dangerous pair & the red wall
10. file 687-689: shiratori's memory
11. file 690-692: haunted warehouse
12. file 693-current: radiant charm

from the list, you can see that kogoro appears in cases 3,5,7 and 9. however in these cases conan did not use kogoro to solve the case[except for no. 5]..

case 3: conan said he knew who the witch was in the car.. but gave out the hint for the mirage becoz he didn't want to explain too much.. and since kogoro is driving he can't put him to sleep..

case 5: well sleeping kogoro appeared here.. but you'll notice that conan was the one who conspired with the blind lady and said that she could count on him.. the lady thought that conan was a high schooler whose voice hadn't cracked.. when he's actually such a small child..

case 7: this is the same as no.5.. in this arc there's a scene where jirokichi patted conan on the head and said that the rest is up to the little guy.. but becoz kaito kid appears in here and it's known to others before that conan is able to stop kid.. this may just be a normal kid case..

case 9: this is the most obvious case.. kansuke and koumei knows that conan is not just an ordinary kid.. kansuke asked koumei to being conan along on his interrogations.. and at the end koumei points out the hints that conan gives..

also in cases 2,6 and 10 involving the police.. conan is the one who solved the case by giving hints or just revealing the truth himself.. even though it happens in the past.. but kogoro is also there at times.. and 3 cases within 10 arcs.. don't you think it's happening too much.. people like sato or takagi should get suspicious soon..

so in conclusion.. this is what i think..
1. either gosho is making conan stand out more intentionally.. maybe leading up to something..
2. or he thinks that the sleeping kogoro stuff is overused.. being too cliched after so long..
3. or there is actually no meaning to it.. i'm just over thinking stuff..

Personally, I am inclined to think that you are over-thinking things. Either that or we're leading up to a suspicion chapter. Or maybe not. Aoyama-sensei will tell us when he feels like telling us. Just the same as the rest of the story. *^_^*
I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the story, and leave the thinking to the detectives. *^_^*

haha.. i'd really like to see a suspicion chapter next.. one that cause conan's secret to be revealed to others because of ran's suspicions.. for example like..

in file 693 we see that Ran is concerned about why heiji uses his charm to match shinichi's fingerprints with the weapon in the shiragami case.. when conan is actually the one who touch the charm.. so after this case.. Ran questions conan about this and conan, being too surprised at the question, is unable to give a definite answer.. Ran becomes suspicious of conan's actions and tries to match conan's fingerprints with shinichi's.. so she took something conan touched and something from shinichi's house to takagi and asked him to do a check.. so takagi did the check and finds out that conan is shinichi.. before he can tell Ran.. conan, who realises what Ran has done, calls takagi and asks him to cover up for him.. so in exchange conan probably told takagi everything.. or part of it.. so in the end ran thinks that she's over-thinking things again..

speaking of over-thinking.. that's probably me instead of ran.. i'm spending too much time on DC that my imaginations are going too wild..

I had the same impression. Conan is standing out a bit too much and is acting pretty reckless, almost as if his patience has finally run out. I'll put my two cents on number 1. ^^

I think most of the things in Shinichi's house would have been wiped--he doesn't wank Okiya to get his fingerprints or know ANYTHING about him. In spite of his flippant replies to Haibara, he is concerned. This is shown in the case where Ran and Sonoko first meet Okiya, as he asks Ran not to talk about him. Okiya also mentions that there is nothing personal in the house, nothing that speaks of who the one who dwelt there IS.
But I'm certain she'd be able to get both Conan's and Shinichi's fingerprints from somewhere. Or Takagi would. Who knows, maybe he's already run the prints?

No, I think he'd keep quiet. I think maybe he knows, but realizes that there must be a REASON for Shinichi to hide like that (he knows Shinichi better than most of the police department). Given that he obviously has some sort of reason for hiding, Takagi wouldn't want to blow his cover. Besides, Satou's met Shinichi all of once, and she wasn't sure she believed how GOOD the high school detectives were. (That's made a LOT more apparent in the manga than in the anime, though....)

I would go with option nr. 1 as well. The police and others so to say got used to Conan's hints, where as they don't find them strange anymore. I think it is an unconscious process for them and they'll only realise that this actually strange if there will be some sort of a trigger.

This trigger could be a person or an event. By event I would think of a Conan missing event, when they actually miss Conan's hints or something like that.

After reading Cutepeipei's and another person's translation of file 695, I'm quite positive that Ran is suspicious again. How Ran behaved there and the sidenote in the end are important hints to this. I'd benice if Heiji&Kazuha would stay here, because Heiji and Conan together leave more clues behind then they supposed to. Heiji won't actually mind if Conan's secret would be revealed, and he tends to blurt out things even if he tries to be careful. Adding this to an Okiya case, or even a Bourbon case would cause something which I expected after the halloween party case, that is a Ran-supicion-BO case combo.

Lately I have noticed that about Conan. But I also feel that the story line is fitting together very well at the moment. We had the Bank Robbery case a while back with the FBI, and haven't seen them since. Then it's been more Heiji/DB cases, not that I don't like them, I just really want the story to start progressing.

Yeah, he's getting more credible to the police! Thank goodness! I've always wanted Conan to get credit for his work. It would be funny if Conan (and the Detective Boys) took the interview with Youko-chan at the end of episode 436  . I'm looking forward to getting those cases animated. I really like the guy with the scar. He's one of my favorite characters.

He has been solving cases before that on his own, only less frequently or sometimes with Heiji or with the Detective Boys. Satou and Takagi certainly take his words seriously (after episode 304, why wouldn't they?). Moreover, he's now known as Kaito Kid's rival, right? It just seems to me like a gradual increase.

I really hope soon, though, the story starts to progress a lot more. I understand they kind of want it to be the BO is hard to find, etc, but I want to see more BO episodes. I want it to get interesting again. Heh.

The time when Conan is called Kaitou Kid's rival (or natural enemy) is also about the same time that Suzuki Jirokichi appeared. I think.
