I saw this and then went to check, sure enough it checked-out. Chapter 1047 makes a reference to Valentine’s Day being 2 days before someone’s birth-day and they are throwing a party, however it has also been made a point to say that a year hasn’t gone by since the beginning yet. The reason I’m saying this is because there already was a Valentine’s Day case much earlier, so what gives? Are some cases-out of order? Both cases are canon, since there also was another case very early-on (in-fact the very first anime-original), but I know about that.

It's "floating timeline", there's coherent timeline since it's only been "half a year" in-universe.

As for the earlier Valentine case, maybe the author forgot about it since it was so long ago.
