As we know from recent developments in our Kohji case analysis, there was seemingly a Shogi piece in Haneda's palm, which was also a part of the dying message(as Haneda gripped the scissors to conceal this piece. So it's fairly important in decoding the message.)

So here we go,
Shogi-Piece...............ON' reading.......................Kun' reading
King(Upper-rank)..............Ou Sou...........................Kimi [Hikiiru, Motte, Hata]

King(lower-rank)...............Gyoku Sou......................Tama [Hikiiru, Motte, Hata]

Rook...............................Hi Sha...........................[Tobu,Tobasu] Kuruma

Rook(promoted)...................Ryuu ou........................Tatsu Kimi

Bishop..............................[Kaku, Roku, Koku]...........[Tsundo, Kado, Sumi] [Iku, Yuku, Okunau]
.......................................[Kou, Gyou, An]
Bishop(promoted)................[Ryuu, Rou]......................Tatsu Uma
........................................[Ba, me, Ma]

Kinght...............................Kei [Ba, Me, Ma]...................Katsura Uma

Knight(promoted)...................[Sei, Jou] Kei.....................[Naru, Tarigeru, Nasu] Katsura

Lance.................................[Kou, Kyou] [Sha, Kyo].............[Kaori, Ka] Kuruma

Lance(promoted)..................[Sei, Jou] [Kou, Kyou]..............[Naru, Tarigeru, Nasu] [Kaori, Ka]

Silver general.................................Gin Sou.........................Shirogane [Hikiiru, Motte, Hata]

[] that there are alternate Romaji readings of the given kanji.
I wasn't able to get the promoted pawn but I'll update soon.

Reserving Post for doing "Shogi Piece --> Character Names analysis." (Mostly to force myself not to be lazy later)
Because if shogi or chess pieces are potentially part of the dying message, and dying messages are typically names, then this is a sensible preparation step.
音=on readings, 訓=kun readings, 名=name readings, 英=meaning

Still the needful: Kuroda Hyoue • Wakasa Rumi • Wakita Kanenori • Mary Sera • Akai Tsutomu

今 -- [音] kon kin [訓] ima [名] na [英] now
Ok...This could point to a possible connection between Chikara Katsumata and Tsutomu Akai, but it's more likely to be a coincidence/red herring of some kind.

There are two serious yet unfounded assumptions you're making over here.
1) Rum was just another member of BO, 17years ago.(It looks completely opposite though. Rum had access to prototype of APTX, the mere information of which is classified to member's like Gin. As Gin mentioned in the 1st chapter that this drug(new APTX) is a brand new poison, while it was just a continuation of an old research.)
2) Haneda Kohji knew about Rum and internal workings of BO.(Which I find totally hilarious as it indirectly implies that Haneda also was a BO member. But to get to this sort of assumption we need proof that Haneda knew about internal workings of BO. Which currently we lack and on the contrary Gosho is giving us hints about how unplanned was Kohji's murder a very uncharacteristic thing of BO, a job which Rum screwed up.)
3) As for the mirror, I don't pay any heed to it because it was broken not cut under water.(The casing, the shards still sticking to the casing in the place of U MASCARA, proof enough that it was broken.)

Chek you might have messed up a bit about Wakita, Nori-Kane will mean promoted gold general but such a piece doesn't exist in the first place.

As you've decoded names what intrigues me more, that both Kuroda and Wakita's name implies that they were related in Kohji case(same Den Kanji in Haneda). (BTWKoji is also the name of a fungus used in fermentation.)

Basically Kuroda's name involve Black(BO), Rice(Haneda),Troop(operative),Protector(NOC).
Wakita 's name involve The other way(Law-enforcement/probably PSB or FBI), Rice(Haneda),And(and), Modeled after.
Asaka's name involve Wretched(Evil),Perfume(good on appearance). A wretched person yet good on the eyes.
Rumi's name involves Beauty, detained, cramped, immature. So probably an immature decision has put her in a fix.
Chikara's name is Win(get the job done) on the other-hand(contrary) strength(being a bigshot).
