BO's opposite attitudes in dealing with the "Soul Detective case" and "Asaca song case."

The soul detective murder case and the Asaca song case has been handled very differently by BO.
In the song case they did send Vermouth and Bourbon to investigate the stuff about why "C" being used instead of "K" in Asaka.
In the soul detective case Gin shows concern about Kogoro's involvement but gives two hoots about the information which Hotta supposedly had on Kohji case.
When Gin mentions the threat perception from Kogoro he uses the pronoun "we" and "us". So he's considering BO's interest as a whole, not his personal goals. When he says the Kohji case is Rum's headache then it means that Gin is confident that all the exposes would only incriminate Rum at a personal level but Bo's interest won't be hampered even if Rum is incriminated.
We're given subtle clues about the dying message in Kohji case, so BO/Gin is aware that the dying message will implicate Rum at a personal level only(like Rum's social name would be revealed but it won't reveal that Rum is the second in command of a criminal organization.)
Also if Asaka was being pursued by BO, then we would have seen some BO activity near Hotta, but we see none. We only see that it's Rum's headache and BO's interests won't be compromised by Hotta's revelations. Which forces me to conclude that Asaka has zero threat perception in BO's evaluation. Which in term allows me to think that BO is absolutely sure that Asaka won't be a threat to them and they are more interested in the dying message which revealed Rum's social name.
So either Asaka is confirmed dead beyond doubt(not unconfirmed like Shinichi's initial status) or Asaka is Rum's lackey so is ruled out as not a threat to BO.
