I think that now there's another Detective Boys Case coming up, NOOO!!!

We'll be lucky if Conan thinks about the BO

With every new file a new BO related file becomes more and more likely, but I don't expect a new BO case before the middle of the 690's. Gosho will stick to his guns, so I'm pretty sure that there'll be a new BO case around the File 700's anniversary. So I even more hope the next BO case will further the story.

Yeah, I kinda expect Detective Boys "filler" too. Or a random Kogoro case. ^^

Ya, I think with the timing of movie 13, to make sure that everyone is glued to the theatre, Gosho would probably make it a "filler" case.

That last case was somewhat of a disappointment. (really, what's all these Chinese three-kingdom reference and the show-off between these two guys about???). Went on for so long too!! I hope the next one would be nice and short, and something significant happen in 690.

I'm expecting a Sonoko based case.  Be it one where she's the "detective", or one with Makoto.  Either way.

After the appearance of the FBI and the possibility of Bourbon disguise as Akai ("possibility", I don't say I heartily believe in it) there can only be two options for the next case:
1. Sometimes after an introductive BO-case (do you say this in English?) there is a filler and then it's interesting again (like the Akemi case in vol. 41 followed by the detective Ran case an after this came the Vermouth-revealing case)
2. Because this was enough of BO we can wait one more year for a new important case.

But I don't thing it's going to be interesting.
Somehow I get the feeling to achieve more "fun" for his readers Aoyama betrays Conan/Shinichi. This sounds a little bit complicate and abstract, but I don't know how to say it in an other way. Perhaps you can understand my thoughts?
(Like... dragging it makes it more complicate, there is no real end possible, and many readers quit reading it because of all the fillers (there are some good, but most of them are impossible or boring!). This destroys Conan a little bit.) A few days ago I read "Rurouni Kenshin" and Watsuki wrote in one of his messages, that a good mangaka knew where to set the end and did not drag it too much. I can only agree with him!

How are any of those "filler"? Too much character development in the Akemi story, plus there seems to be something interesting on the tapes. In Detective Ran Jodie quits her cover job and has flashbacks about her father's death, Shin'ichi is trying to figure out who is in his house, Haibara apparently hears something shocking on the tapes. and Ran becomes suspicious of Jodie explaining why she's around to save Haibara long enough for Shuuichi to show up and save everyone. You have to go all the way back to Agasa's love to find a story that doesn't have continuity that leads into the confrontation with Vermouth, and Conan's pantomime to find something which adds nothing new to continuity*.

* Well, unless you count Ran explicitly disclaiming being X-cup, Sonoko, for a change, actually failing in a plan to get a picture of Ran to send to Shin'ichi, and the extremely rare development of the vitally important Ran's crotch seen only covered by panties sub-plot.

I've got to agree.

Recently, we've had Heiji and Kazuha cases, a "Shinichi returns" case, a KID case, a "Haibara's radar" case, a "new person introduction" case, heck, even a "Decetive Boys go on a fishing/camping trip" case.

So, I'm betting that we'll see either a Kogoro+Eri case or a Sonoko case next. And when was the last time Makoto showed up anyways?

Okiya didn't appear since 666, Heiji didn't appear since 655, Eri didn't appear since 645. I wonder what will happen if Takagi and Sato appears next time.

I hope Ai-chan didn't forget about telling Conan to kick Okiya out of his house. Okiya should be appeared continuously like Conan suspected about Eisuke before 595, there is about Eisuke from 582 to 590.

i hope too that its wiith the BO but.. if it is it has sure more chapters and we have to wait so long every week XD i would go crazy   but if it with the detective boys it would be fun too

I voted yes, but mow I want to change my vote. Its a little early for a BO case! You know what, I actually don't know, I've heard that the next case is a Detective Boys Case. Honestly, I just want Takagi and Satou to show up. But it will probably be another month before Takagi shows up and 4 months before we see Miwako again. OH and roughly a year before the next Metropolitan Police Love story  . Damn, that's the price I pay for falling in love with the support cast!
