Part of the skill a writer has is to know when to keep some stuff hidden and to reveal other things. There need to be enough unknown things to make it suspenseful and keeping the readers reading. If everything's revealed and it's not yet the end, what's the point of continuing onward?

As for what will happen to Amuro, I would be saddened by his death (he's a refreshing take on a Black Organization affiliated antagonist), but we do not know for sure. The circumstances are more in his favor at the moment, anyway. Someone like Gin just showing up to shoot him would be out of left field and completely unforeshadowed, considering how Bourbon hasn't done anything to really piss Gin off. (Gin mostly dislikes Bourbon's overall demeanor because of his experience with Vermouth, but we don't know how they actually interact. Gin could just be grumbling, they could both just not want to go out for drinks after work, or maybe they want to murder each other. We don't know for sure.)

I really don't think Gosho will kill off Tooru, if that's what you're implying. He's gotten way too much backstory and development, and the fans love him way too much. This arc could very well be leading up to the end, though...

It's true that just because fans love a character (especially a major character), it doesn't guarantee something won't happen to him/her. However, it DOES have a heavy influence. And anyways, Gosho's not one to kill off characters just like that. ESPECIALLY with all the development Tooru's had; Pisco had zero development (he was there for one case, then died). And I can't recall any character appearing for a total of at least a few cases dying within the series. Heck, even Kir got out just fine, and all the warning signs pointed towards her death.

While they may share a name, and while Gosho has had many connections between the two series, this isn't a definite indicator of his fate. Besides, Amuro Ray's fate was debatable in the different series' takes. Some said he died, some said he was just M.I.A.
