In the last chapter about Akai's return, there was a flashback when he was talking to Jodie about two women he loved, he said," To be in love with two women at the same time...it's not that handy a personality."
Besides Akemi, any guesses on the second one?

The other is Jodie.

Maybe, but how come he tells her in her face that he loves another woman at the same time? That would be cutting straight to core...but it won't be too surprising when you consider Akai's cold attitude.

yeah, in manga nothing is impossible.
A guy like Akai doesn't exist in real life.

You know what? I think the mystery girl is Shiho Miyano. Haibara and Akai are meant for each other, seriously.

I did the same with this girl I like...But she doesn't know yet that it's her...
So Akai's move isn't that fictional.
So I have to go with Jodie aswell.

Come on! It can't be Jodie. She seems more like a best friend...like Conan and Haibara. Wouldn't Ai cry for Conan's death? Or the opposite?

Nah Conan and Ai are wayyy BETTER !!!!

in the story they never really explained the relationship between haibara and shuichi(no so sure about the spelling)
so i think conan and ai are slowly starting to develop a stronger friendship
i don't think it will ever go beyond that
there are too many times in the story where shinichi will die for ran
but never for Haibara
to him shes just like a great friend as the same with heiji

"The Mysterious Passenger"- He jumps into a bus that is about to explode and pulls her out though there was a great chance he would of died with her. Then proceeds to rub the blood from his moderate injury on her to get her out of the search in which she feels unsafe, when it was him that needed medical attention.

"Meeting With the Black Organization Again"- Runs like a mad man gasping for air to a roof being occupied by two armed men (Gin & Vodka) and intervenes to save her fully knowing they could start shooting at him, which they do. Then proceeds to confront another armed member (Pisco) in a sealed storage room, stands in front of her body the majority of the time (acting as a shield), and does something uncharacteristic by using a plan to set the room on fire to pull her out.

"Head-to-Head Match With the Black Organization" - Abandons his regard for his safety though there is a highly skilled member(Vermouth) in front of him and another waiting to get a shot at him with a sniper rifle (Calvados) and instead becomes more concern about her safety and directs his full attention to that. Not to mention it could of got him killed, but it also ruins his well though out plan and forces him to use his back up plan.

So yeah, I think there's plenty of evidence that Conan would put himself at risk for Haibara the same he would do for Ran..and I probably missed a few.
