Any way the Code is the thing. Maybe Conan will explain later what he hear that lead him to say call police.

Anyway I sure the message must say something like "help. Mom being held hostage"

And remember all the face stuff and such did not stop Db from enter the apartment.

Either the Db will leave there then call the police, or ask their Dad Takagi to pick them up.

The real question is how to get the bad guys arrested without getting the hostage killed.

I prefer Haibara in action, it's about time for her to take lead role...

No offense but you saw how great lead she took in those files?
I actually like Haibara but the way she acted... Maybe APTX is affecting her brain?

Unlikely. It is more like she wants to impress her friends by showing that she can be just like Conan. :P

She basically acted the same way as Conan in this file...so I guess Conan is affecting her brain XDD
I hope the DB will save themselves(I hope Haibara will have a plan^^)
but I guess Conan will call somebody to help them(Takagi,Okiya...)

Yep, Ai is ooc again. Isn't she normally the careful one? And why would she ever think that Conan's conclusion was wrong?

blushing is weird enough to me. as I said it might be nothing , I am just hoping :-\.
You guys totally didn't get the first page, right? Aww, how cute of you ;D
What are you referring to?  That she was checking his fever?
I dunno, she wasn't blushing that much for that long.  Conan however... :D
It's the same as chapter 390, the first page :)
You and your dirty mind ::)
It's gosho, not me ::)
No, it's you. I'm still not sure I understand what you're trying to say, though I have a guess.

Ok so the hiragana on each card corresponds to the first hiragana of the proverb.

"I can't go to the restroom without the towel with a horsehair crab from lake suwa on it"

lake suwa = suwako ==>  "su ki ko so mo no no jyo zu na re" : A favourite thing is to be a master.
horse hair crab = kegani ==> "ge i wa mi o ta su ku ru" : Art will help one's life.
towel = taoru ==> "ta bi wa mi chi du re yo wa na sa ke" : Having company when travelling is better. Supporting each other makes a nicer society.

Then there's the RU-KO-NI-TE :

Lapis and crystals shine under a spot light (RU proverb). Have a stick ready before falling down (KO proverb). Hated children prevail in the world (NI proverb). A sticking out post will be struck (TE proverb).

What I don't understand is how they would combine ?

Haibara wrote a message to conan. I think conan will ask someone to help them. I think it could be Ran then, since she's caring for him, so she's the first adult/grown up he can talk to. Tho any other adult could be it to. Or he'll turn into shinichi

Spoiler:
1. The order is RU-KO-NI-TE.
2. Notice that suwako, kegani, and taoru all have their final character matching the above, so rearrange them according to the order.
3. Now you get taoru first, suwako second, and kegani third. And a "te" card.
4. Read the initial characters. TA-SU-KE-TE. It means "Help!"
Although what I don't get is why it had to be "ni". If it's just the logic in the spoiler, he could've chosen "ki" or other letters and would still work.

What I really want to know is how Kogorou broke their thermometer.  Was it just... out...  waiting to be stepped on?

Conan Next Case: Kogorou is Found dead near broken Thermometer. Mercury is found in his Blood. Detective Abs is on the case!

On topic: There needs to be an other option. After all if there is no danger, then no one can rescue them right?
