also, this sorta solidifies hte mystery woman being glass's mother to me, though if that's the case then I like how she listens to their deductions, and then claims "oh look I solved your riddle and here you are!," unless of course she actually did and was just helping out the group.

I already anagrammed "saturna". and drew a blank. I was wondering if the riddle might convert into Japanese though because many of the major players have ties to japan, but...DaisukeKazamatsuri wrote: I was kinda disappointed (though I laughed anyway) when Shinichi turned back to Conan. It was even more unsatisfying than the other encounters with such minimal contact between him and Ran. But about the 'Saturn' thing...wasn't there another A? Maybe they have the wrong word. We could be drawing conclusions from something that may not be right.

Yeah, Gosho does have a tenancy to put japanese words into english letters, but I don't know enough japanese to know. Maybe it's a latin word? He seems to like using the names well enough.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:I already anagrammed "saturna". and drew a blank. maybe, but just because we didn't see her doesn't necessarily mean she wasn't there. I don't remember exactly what was said about Juno in the previous files, but considering her daughter goes around disguised, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think she might as well. And there's also the fact that I never trust blind people. More often than not they seem to not actually be blind at all, to me.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Mystery lady can't be mama Glass; Apollo and Minerva's mom, Juno Glass, showed up at the end of the chapter. I doubt she would disguise herself. Additionally, mystery lady picked up an envelope and knew there was a title of a Sherlock Holmes story written on the envelopes found around the church. A blind woman couldn't do that so easily.Akonyl wrote: I was disappointed in how long conan stayed as shinichi. D:

of course, I could just not be thinking things through as I'm not really deeply analyzing it, but I don't think the possibility's completely gone. I also just think that the two look alike, with their lipstick and clothes as well.

Yes, it would be difficult for Juno to pull that off (but not completely impossible) and Minerva would have to be in it. But she looks a lot like the mystery woman and we shouldn't rule it out completely. Yet.

What I think is the 'saturn' could possibly refer not just to Saturday but also to a place if there is a place in London that looks like or has something to do with 'saturn' the planet. Since the rest of the code used places that looked like other things.
Also, since so many characters in this case are named after greek or roman gods/goddesses, perhaps saturn as the roman name of cronus points to the characters with roman god/goddesses names? Perhaps as the target of the criminal? Maybe the father's accident has something to do with the revenge the culprit wants?
Regarding the mystery woman, I think she could be Yukiko since first, Conan will need help to return to Japan now, and since his father knows people in Interpol (and early on in the series they wanted to take Conan out of Japan) so his parents could possibly pull some strings or such for him to return to Japan (maybe they already prepared a passport for 'Conan'). Second, the mystery woman's hairstyle is similar to the one Yukiko used when disguised as Fumiyo Edogawa.

There're a couple of things:
First of all, they stupidly discarded the fact that there is another line mentioning a bell, so there's obviously another letter/place they need to find. On top of that, they also discovered the "egg" and "pickle" part, and the "two swords and a white back", but paid little attention to the rest of the text, that might be meaningful. There's also the fact that they assumed the letter in the pen was an N, but it could also be a Z (actually, Shinichi mentioend it, but then forgot about it).

Yup, you're supposed to get the feeling that the "traffic accident" was meant to wipe out the entire Glass clan.KuroyashiRusuba wrote:Maybe the father's accident has something to do with the revenge the culprit wants?

I was just wonderin because as long as we're talking about murdering a family, in mythology Chronos (greek version of saturn) tried to eat all his children, so who knows, might be slightly related. Might be the same in roman mythology, but iunno.
