i just finished reeading the translated chapter and its promising

Anyway, finally Amuro gets to be creepy for once. I have several ideas about what he meant, but I don't know which, if any, are right. It's too vague to tell because there are too many things he could mean.

• Akai is an easy one, but I'm not sure that makes sense in this context
• He wanted to ask someone questions who isn't there? (Takagi?)
• If it was something at the police station, maybe something is missing, like files? (Akai's death files? The body? Since Takagi was on that case, Takagi missing would crimp Amuro's ability to ask questions.)
• Is he missing someone? (Akemi? Wants some records of that case?)
• Is it because Haibara is absent?

The parents jotted down in Takagi's notebook are mysterious. Plural implies two of them. What about Takagi's own parents? Where do they live?

And of course, what everyone else said about the covering at Takagi's feet. A timer device designed to snap or burn the board would be a possibility.

I think this is going to be a good case.

This is quite unexpected, but YAY!

* A Takagi/Sato story. This might lead to the proposal, then marriage. But it seems that Takagi had to do something before he proposes.

* I might be wrong, but I think that Takagi's the first male "main" DC character who cried. Can't think of anyone...

I know it's nothing, but I find it interesting that Tottori is mentioned on page 5.

Isn't that the place that supposedly is connected to the BO boss? Or am I mistaken on that?


Anyway, pointless detail aside, what was the sticker/marking in Takagi's notebook near the "Greet parents" note? How convenient his tear lands right on it  ::) nvm about this part, read further xD

I'm especially interested in what kind of person is even able to create such a set-up. I mean, a bound Takagi on a small plank hanging between two metal tubes high in the air, and a rope around his neck which is attached to a tube at a difficult to reach spot? (S)he's got to be an acrobat!

Anyway, Tottori remark, Amuro acting mysteriously (he seems to really want to meet the professor imo), and possible future marriage with the necessary drama attached to it; the chapter's good.

I'm btw thinking that it might be an ex-girlfriend who died or something and he was going to meet her parents and they might think he should be all depressed over their daughter and not get a new girlfriend

THIS CHAPTER. IT IS SO AMAZING.
First off, I liked Amuro's appearance in this chappie. There is no doubt that he is Bourbon for me, and if he isn't I'm going to be a very sad person, because is just so fish for me.
Now, about the case itself:
I have a pretty good idea who the culprit is. It's a year after Takagi's friend died, right? It's too coincidental that Takagi is kidnapped on this very day. And, that the cuprit himself wanted Takagi specifically. In all the other chapters when he faced danger, it was usually because of his good heart.
So, you know what I think? Takagi was out on a case with his friend (maybe you could call him his 'teacher', since he trained Takagi?) and the criminal from then shot the man, right in front of Takagi, making Takagi feel somewhat helpless and maybe even guilty of his teacher's death. And the culprit from this case? A relative or close friend of the victim, feeling both enraged and sad about the death, and sees Takagi to blame, and planned this plot for over a year to have Takagi revenged.
Or...
The culprit is the culprit from the case Takagi was working on with his teacher, and he shot his teacher, and Takagi being the only eye-witness, he was plotting to get rid of Takagi.

I think it's  the first reason, since, from Takagi's line in this chapter(about how he was unworthy of Sato) he probably feels guilty about his mentor's death(like you said). So it isn't a theory without proof  ;D

I think he's going to go see his own parents... their graves, that is. It would explain why he was so adamant that it was not a date, and the crying.

If it turns out true, that would explain why his past hasn't really been brought up before. It's kind of character development/exposition heavy.
