Re: Files 743-??? Discussion Thread
If Shinichi gets too involved in the case, he may wind up on the news. I don't know if the British reporters or police would be so willing to quash news of Shinichi's involvement since he doesn't have a relationship with them like he does with Tokyo Met. Shinichi may just keep his head down when solving the case so it isn't a problem, but considering his tendency to flagrantly showboat (Desperate Revival, I'm looking at you!), I'm a bit concerned.

He'd have to be abls to solve it within 24 hours first. And the British media wouldn't be as interested in him as the Japanese media. But they'd probably mention it if someone from Japan was involved.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote: If Shinichi gets too involved in the case, he may wind up on the news. It could become a problem, but I don't think it will happen.

I dunno. "Japanese Tourist Saves Thousands" seems like it'd be a pretty good headline.Dus wrote:He'd have to be abls to solve it within 24 hours first. Yeah but "Famous School Detective Shinichi Kudo Saves Thousands" doesn't sound nearly as good (because nobody would have any idea who that is)Akonyl wrote:I dunno. His real name would probably be in the first sentence of the article though.Dus wrote:Yeah but "Famous School Detective Shinichi Kudo Saves Thousands" doesn't sound nearly as good (because nobody would have any idea who that is)Akonyl wrote: I dunno. True. Anyway, I don't think he would be quite that stupid (but after the last three chapters, we can't be sure anymore).Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:His real name would probably be in the first sentence of the article though.Dus wrote:Yeah but "Famous School Detective Shinichi Kudo Saves Thousands" doesn't sound nearly as good (because nobody would have any idea who that is)Akonyl wrote: I dunno. He still has Agasa (and possibly his parents) to solve the case in his stead.

Yeah, he probably left his bacpack next to Ran's vanishing purse. ;DChekhov MacGuffin wrote: He had a backpack, so I assume they were in there. I guess he left the backpack in the booth because he doesn't have it while chasing after Ran. I guess he didn't want her to recognize it.Spoiler:
Actually, the clothes he's wearing when he pops out of the booth are the same he was wearing inside the plane. On top of that, they didn't stop anywhere after arriving, so he should still be carrying them. The weird thing is the fact that he had time to take the pill, grow and change clothes without anyone noticing a naked guy inside a booth, in the few seconds Ran spent stupidly shouting at him from an angle that blocked the view, instead of looking inside to see if it was actually him inside there, and not some other random japanese tourist. It looks really stupid, how she seems to be talking to the wall of the booth. And then while they're arguing she just happens to naturally quote Minerva Grass's words and then explain that she told her that. Completely ridiculous.
I mean, I have to be a huge fan (and I am) to still be interested after all this examples of poor storytelling. Thank god for the couple of great story arcs we got. This isn't going to be one of them.

Well, apparently, Minerva (Athena) and Ares were enemies, according to a Wiki page. :\ But they're brother and sister here, so evidence of rivalry here.

I actually feel the same way. It doesn't appear to flow very well. And it's very predictable... It's very expected. But of course, Detective Conan always has weird ways of keeping Conan's identity or keeping him alive when he's obviously made a dumb decision...such as the case with the robot...I was like WTFDashin wrote:Yeah, he probably left his bacpack next to Ran's vanishing purse. ;DChekhov MacGuffin wrote: He had a backpack, so I assume they were in there. Possibly Agasa had the backpack, quickly gave it to Conan?

I think somehow people will know Kudo Shinichi. I mean, look at the woman who knows SleepingDus wrote:He'd have to be abls to solve it within 24 hours first. Then what the hell was it? Whatever the case, he escaped that case when the method was not only illogical but would really have never have happened with an average person. It was episode 345, and I know he escaped that too gracefully.Abs. wrote: ...he was not a robot. Which DC are you watching, sora?

Re: Files 743-??? Discussion Thread
And yet somehow he has to keep his identity. Only two things can happen 1) He confesses he is Shinichi. But then things will get pretty boring between Ran and Shinichi. Especially if they confess to one another. Look at Takagi and Sato...no action so far. Ran's role will decrease within the story. Gosho could be going this route and just ending the whole romantic tragedy deal. 2) He gets the pill. And the only one who could make that pill would be Ai Haibara. If she doesn't make it to London, he will be stuck there. Unless, she sends it to him, but that's risky to send by mail, and it also could take days to reach him. If he wants to cover his identity, someone is going to have to give him the antidote.GinRei wrote:She also knew for a fact that his life was in danger. This time, it isn't. He's just being an idiot and is going to get stuck in London for a while, so don't see why she'd risk their lives and safety for that.L- wrote:You're talking about someone who broke out from a room, called taxi (did she pay him?), and ran desperately into enemy territory to save him. Doesn't seem that far-fetched that she'd come London although I agree I doubt that mystery women is her.RedPoppy wrote: I know that a lot of people would like to see her in London Case, but I'm sure she won't EVER take a risk and just go as Shiho to London, just because she knows Conan would do something stupid.
