Changed my vote to Anna.
I blame Takagi, pointing out who little the body resembles her ID. Made me think this might be a blatant hint it's NOT Anna.
She is a very capable make-up artist and could easily pull it off. She has also cut her hair recently, in her ID and in the flashback we see her with long hair.

The table was also made by Anna. So just light people can be on it. Meaning it would be most comfortable for females to act this role. Also, both males have a wounded leg, meaning they can't do that shaking effect (bumping the leg stuff)

Problem is if Anna can mimic the voice of Suguri Mutsumi in case she's her now D:


I also wonder why someone would invite Kogoro and then make a murder. Maybe Anna saw a challenge in that?

The voice might be a bit tricky, but the reason why she would want Kogoro to be there is obvious.
He is awesome and he would figure out that Suguri killed that co-ed of theirs. She is, after all, obsessed with his death and being convicted for murer would not be her main concern.

I also guessed that Anna did it after the first file, because she's the one who wanted Kogoro to come to the haunted house. I tell ya, it's always the culprit who asks Kogoro to come!

Hehe, no, actually, I did have some evidence. Anna was the one to do Mutsumi's makeup. Anna and Mutsumi have the same makeup on. It would be quite possible to switch places, and for Anna to put on Mutsumi's glasses (and if the prescription wasn't too off, she wouldn't need to be squinting). I also thought Anna's rude behavior was a bit odd when she first appeared, especially her interactions with Mutsumi. Edit: Yay, accidentally posted that IN the quote 9_9

I don't blame anyone for not wanting to read this until DCTP posts file 758.
I definitely don't think there were enough clues in this case to solve it - i.e. come up with the correct solution and exclude reasonable alternatives. I am pretty unhappy about that.

The most interesting thing in this file for me was the surprisingly detailed new officer. One off or to be recurring? The fact his face structure has a sort of similar build to Akai/scar Akai is making me slightly paranoid about his allegiance for no logical reason at all. I blame Dus.
