Q42: Is there anything the perfect human Akai is bad at?
A: He's tone deaf (laughs)

Q69: Please tell me if there is anything surprising about Akai, Amuro, and Sera!

[Later on, someone clarifies that the original says オンチ in both cases, which in that context can mean anything from being tone deaf, or completely hopeless with directions. Gosho never used kanji to write that word, so it could mean that they're all horrible at something.]

I wonder whether Gosho actually means "tone deaf" or just the "horrible at something"

Amuro saw Masumi and seemed to recognize her at Detective's Nocturne
After that he approached her dressed as Scar Akai to test her to see if she knew about Akai

I think this is the first time he's even thought about her, in those terms, directly calling her Shuichi's sister. Other times, it's not addressed, or it's indirect.

It's not like they're best friends or anything. I don't think it's something Conan needs to know or care about. Akai would feel more comfortable knowing that Masumi can get friends without connections despite her personality anyways...

But Shinichi/Conan already spends quite a bit of time with Masumi—especially with his interest in MG. Shuichi/Subaru doesn't really need to ask.

When you think about it, Masumi being Shuichi's sister was never really in doubt—even Gosho, himself, essentially said (not through interviews, of course), through the manga that she was his sister. There was no mystery about it. Neither Shinichi/Conan or Ran even thought once about her eyes, which is the physical characteristic that is the most obviously connected to Shuichi, and a characteristic they'd recognize easily.

It's classic post-Clash-of-Red-and-Black secrecy—it'll probably take until all the current Akai family/Bourbon/Scotch questions are resolved, or these will be resolved parallel to Shiho/Ai getting back in the loop. Once all that is achieved, this secrecy should stop.

If one considers Masumi's introduction to be the beginning of an Akai family arc (or "Rye" arc, to stay with arcs being named after codenamed BO members, former or otherwise), then its been going on for 170 Files (768–937). The Bourbon arc lasted 276 Files (622–897). So between the next case and the case happening 106 Files from now (941 (Assuming next case is 3 Files)–1043), we may finally get a resolution with all these questions about the Akai family. Hopefully, Bourbon and Scotch will follow suit, and we can hit File 1000 with complete focus on Rum.

Looking at the actual case, I tried cutting out 16 images to look at
(not sure if I'm allowed to post that much of a case, but I guess I'll be told to delete it if so)

So the Long Haired Woman (Kibune Someka) has a tear in her jacket


The Black Hat Woman (Fuekawa Tadako) has fingernail clippers and gives them to the Glasses Woman (Kogure Rumi)


Tadako mentions that she brought a sewing kit, but she left it in the studio room where the Snow Hat Woman (Yamaji Hazae) has gone to nap


Someka gives her jacket to Tadako in order for her to fix it.


After a cut away to Masumi and Amuro, we hear a woman scream and they all rush in to find


Conan points out that they should be able to see who did it on the security camera.


but the band members had set up a selfie stick camera to record themselves playing


Supposedly, this must be Tadako on camera fixing Someka's jacket button with her sewing kit, because it is fixed by the time the body is found


I'm only guessing, but I'd assume that Takagi is pointing out that the reason the curtain was closed was because the murder could have been caught in the reflection.


Someka also entered the room. I really can't tell what she is doing because the image looks really blurry to me
However she mentions that when she entered the room she saw Hazae with her head down and arms crossed


Rumi also entered the room and can be seen moving the keyboard piano around


Rumi shows Conan her cellphone picture of the band playing and it sparks as something really important


The three detectives have figured it out?
