He knew about taking out the sim cards to use VoIP calling for their phones and to disable GPS on Eri's phone. Also apparently hacked the other phone that Eri is using so they still have access to her other attempts at messaging. When Eri didn't answer the location question, he was able to put together that she was in an airtight space with no windows. He even knew to check the drawer for signs of warmness to see if she had actually been there, rather then just not seeing her there and looking somewhere else. He also maintains his mask over his mouth at all times, despite the other two pulling it down below their chins to talk.
However he's not smart enough to choose his subordinates properly.

The "subordinates" haven't just magically appeared and you don't usually get to choose them either even if you pay. There is some kind of reason they're doing that, and he's the ringleader because he's smarter than the others.

I don't think they are 'suspicions'. It's more of a 'wake up' moment. Hopefully this time it actually lead something else that rebuffing and Ran forgetting about it for the next couple of hundred chapters.

Spoiler:
Finally we can see Eri again, Ran is kind of suspecting Conan... but Kogoro, to be quite honest, isn't doing anything again... so I'm kinda disappointed. I mean, he is dead serious and worried, but he cannot think of anything and Conan is doing all the work. :|

Well maybe its just me that actually wants to see Kogoro in action for reals, since its about Eri and they can have their moments.... Anyways, all I want right now is to actually know whats this all about! jimmy_kud0_tv2 and Serinox point of view are actually pretty good and I hope its something similiar to what you guys said.

It's more of letting us know that it's still in play, rather than her "forgetting."

For instance, I wouldn't say that Ran "forgot" about the Vermouth arc climax (429–434/345).

So basically Gosho is just spicing things up ..!! Just Randomly making Ran think Conan--> Shinichi.
Maybe 1000th file is about it only.

I wouldn't say it's randomly at all, she has had her being-suspiciuos moments for quite sometime now.

I like that this case is different from the usual setup.

It would be better doing at least the messaging work by himself.

This is odd... no text spoilers, today. They're usually out and translated, by this point...

@DCUniverseAficionado: I know. I'm surprised as well, maybe the person who gets the magazine and writes the text spoilers didn't get it or wasn't able to write them.

I seem to vaguely recall a similar occasion time ago: maybe they'll show up today for all we know.

Well, if there's a time for us to them, it's within the next couple of hours.

Reading this file made me think...Sorry if it´s no a very popular opinion but I need to express it:

Does the Shinichi-Ran relationship make sense at this point¿?

I know is one of the main lines in the series. Conan takes the antidote and reafirms his love to Ran, blabla
I rewatched Episode ONE again and I was surprised of the terrible relationship they have, it´s like a resume of all
the episodes in the series that Shinichi took down let down Ran.

I think the Shinichi - Ran relationship would turn really toxic through the years. Shinichi´s main pretension is
to solve crimes, he doesn´t seem to share common interest with Ran apart of that romantic 16ish feelings and thinking about her breast
and stuff. I feel they are really good friends and Shinichi has that protection feeling towards Ran, he cares about her, really, but she is not top priority.

Of course, like really a lot of realtionships, the girl is constantly suffering , and that´s Ran.

I´m not a ShinichixShiho fan , but this relationship at least, would make much more sense as Haibara represents mistery and
that should the thing that most attract Shinichi .

I don't know what made you think in this way, but the only plausible part i can think is because for a lot of time Shinichi hasn't really appeared and the story of their being together has been developing much lately. Although Conan stays close to her as much as possible and besides no one has come close to try woo Ran away, so he really doesn't even need to push and try to express and make ran feel good.
As for ShinxShiho, I don't know, I mean I like Haibara, but I don't think she'll end up with Shinichi, Probably end up livin with Akai family, Or go away, something like that.
Afterall ShinxRan was meant to be together from the beginning, So, there is no reason why Ran and his relationship would go toxic. Also, the whole story is just under a year, meaning not a single character has aged a single bit. So "Through the years", seems unrelated to me.
