Oh good, we get more Conan and Sera interaction. (And I was right about him not using the tranq on either Kogoro or Sonoko!) I figure we'll either get the Sera backstory either very soon or during the File 900 arc.

I'm hoping that the break is so that he can do research on Hawaii for a Hawaii flashback arc. If it's plot related, then I doubt I'll complain.

I'm gonna be pretty pissed if Conan met Sera ~1 year ago.  Like he's a detective how would he not recognize her.  With the beach thing/hearing waves that Ran said it doesn't really sound like the Sera being a fan of Yuusaku thing I thought earlier, because why would that have to do with a beach?  So back to square 1 I guess.

But seriously, I have to think of something involve Ripple but not the sea right now. If ripple in this place actually mean sea it will not be a detective show. Gosho should not do that.

I agree that it might be leading up to a real flashback case (a REAL one). It may as well be like the NY case, this is Vermouth arc 2.0, so anything, anything is possible. :P

On a serious note, remember how the side note said "open the lock of memory', maybe it hinted towards a flashback case afterwards.

On a side note, do editors know what Gosho is planning to draw next?
