How many times has his cover been almost blown? Yeah, for some reason I don't really see that happening. I see another close call and all of our hopes dashing once again at Ran knowing who he really is.WolfenAmphithere wrote: Yeah, for some reason I didn't think of him giving the answer over the phone xD Oh man, this is not gonna go very well, I can tell xD

Well, we'll know for sure soon enough xD If you want, I could pm you who they were talking about. Don't want to post something like that in the forum when it's not even out in Japan yet, thoughSpiritgal304 wrote:I did click on it and I might not have read it right, sorry.WolfenAmphithere wrote: Yeah, if you'd clicked the spoiler link above and seen the conversation I was talking about, you might not think that so strongly.Spoiler: non-obvious hint

so many people have voted his name in the poll... I can't see why he's so suspicious and none of the others are, though; If you just mean that he disappeared like that, all 4 of them were away from Ran, Sonoko, and Conan for a bit.

The setting gets my hopes up for a bloody murder and she was poisoned?

Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym

Re: Horrific Haunted Hospital case: (756-758?) Vote for the
I voted for the girl in glasses, since she acts weird and says weird things a couple of times.
Now, there're some turn offs about that theory. First of all, she doesn't seem to have an alibi, and she seemed to make up an excuse to be with the victim, so she might be too suspicious up front. The other two guys, on the other hand, offered themselves to go with Ran and the others, so they seem to have alibis, except for the few seconds before they arrive at the crime scene.
This case looks too similar to the bandaged man's. I hope it doesn't turn out to be another revenge murder. Well, in this case, at least, it wouldn't be because of plagiarism, since everybody know the victim was using the suicide guy's idea. Maybe she actually killed him to get the opportunity of getting some credit.
I also thought that it's possible she isn't dead. They were mentioning that they wanted to make a believable corpse. Trying to trick the police might be too much, though. Someone seemed to be checking her toenails. Maybe they weren't pink, as I think they should be if she was poisoned with cyanide.

Cr@ppy deduction time.
I really haven't given this case the perusal it deserves due to holiday obligations. One thing that is bothering me is the lack of clues. I may have missed something because I gave the file a pretty perfunctory look before making this post, but I am not sure if there are enough clues to confirm a certain trick was used by a certain person. I hope this case is not an “unsolvable” one in this regard.
In any case, the devices needed include one to make bed shake, one to lift the woman's legs, and one to press the button. These would have to be destroyed or obscured afterwards.
String tricks are the top of my list for methods. To get the bed to shake, the box fit snugly under the bed may balance the bed so that a gentle tug on a string would cause it to rock forward while releasing the string would allow it to rock back to its natural position. Basically it would be easy to shake it from a distance.
The legs lifting may involve a string trick using tape and the above operating light. A sharp tug would lift the legs until the weight caused a piece of loosely stuck tape to detach when the weight of the legs was enough. It would throw sheet back, yet also not be too hard on body to cause post mortem lines. The murderer would then pull the string with tape stuck to it away and hide it. The linear marks on the bed sheet may be made by wet string touching the sheet while the bed rocked. The shifting sheet as the bed rocked made for adjacent marks. There may be a better explanation.
Someone would have had to press button to get blood flow working or use a device to somehow trigger it to go off. The murderer could just hope no one would notice the cable and press the trigger from a distance. In that case, the person who destroyed the fingerprint evidence, Tsujiei Sonsaku, is the most suspicious; however, it could have been coupled with another trick like the bed rocking/feet moving to trigger it.
I think Tsujiei Sonsaku is the most likely culprit because he messed around with the body and the setup in ways that would destroy evidence most effectively, but it’s not really a solid proof. Searching the suspects will most likely reveal the culprit.
