I just hope that if she does take center stage, it'll be like one of the old cases, such as the bus hi-jacking case, back when she was still depressed. I know it sounds mean, but those were the best. She may have some high roles in the recent cases, but it's just not the same. I may be asking for too much, but that is just what I wish....

I agree. Ai/Shiho is at her best when she's cynical and suicidal.

LOLXD maybe it sounds weird but I agree...I started to love her because of her bad sides (suicidal,depressive,pessimistic,cynical...)that was what make her so different from the other feminine characters...I also like how she changed her personality (she became nicer with others...) it shows that she evoluated and she's not static...but still,I would like to see the old Ai again...maybe when she'll know the truth about her sister's death she'll become darker and even more depressive...that's what I want...I know I'm weird,but I'm tired of nice characters

I skipped almost all the recent cases ,so I don't mind waiting a bit more until Haibara (I mean the real Haibara,not the babysitter of the DB) has an interesting role...
But I really want a link to Gosho's interview...or else we'll be waiting for nothing...

It's a conspiracy by an AiConner to make Ai more important than Ran.

Ai IS more important to the plot, she's directly involved with the BO, the key somewhat, and Ran is really Shinichi's love interest that's important to Shinichi, But that's my subjective view, I'm not starting a war or anything, ^^

Ai IS more important to the plot, she's directly involved with the BO, the key somewhat, and Ran is really Shinichi's love interest that's important to Shinichi, But that's my subjective view, I'm not starting a war or anything, ^^

we are only talking about the BO plot,it's logical that Ai takes center stage for a while,if there's a BO case...Ran has nothing to do with what we're talking aboutXD
anyway,if I remember well,it was a Shinran fan who posted that "rumor" several months ago...it was coming from an interview where Gosho was talking about the London case...
so if the London case is real,I think the Haibara's thing is true as well^^

She was already involved in the non-canon 13th movie so why not in the manga, afterall ? Not saying it's the best choice but it's definitely possible.

She wasn't involved she just fought Irish without knowing who he was or what he wanted with Conan. Its possible for her to get involved yes but she shouldn't be. She has nothing to do with the BO besides a chance meeting with one of its operatives which she didn't even was. She has no knowledge of the BO in the first place! If she has an important role in it or any for that matter that would just be random!Its obvious she was put there to be the love interest of Shinichi and baby sitter of Conan. I'm not saying whether that role is important or not but that is her role. Putting her in the BO is just trying to force her to be more important to the plot. If she ends up being more important in the BO case than Haibara than that would be an epic fail...
