the whole Shuukichi being the second brother is too obvious,I mean just the name is too close to shuuichi.
If Shuukichi is the middle brother I'll be disappointed.And I really don't know what does that will add to the plot.why gosho needed to add a brother to the Akai family if it's not related to the main plot.I can accept Sera,since it's inspired by the Gundam series.

@AiCHAN: I've learned that sometimes, it's better not to have too high expectations. I remember, when I was reading the flashback case with Shinichi and Ran at the aquarium and Shinichi told Ran, it would be sad if she ran. I expected some very meaningful scene between them and it ended up with the bra discussion. I got total facepalm or when I expected Akai and Rei confrontation face-to-face, though I guess,they will have one.

But, I guess, I shouldn't give you this advice as myself not going to follow it as I have high expectation of Rum, i.e. Rum being fully on BO's side and not ending up on Conan's side.

I won't be disappointed, if Shuukichi is the brother, but I will be disappointed, if he won't have any role, besides being the shogi player and Yumi's ex boyfriend. However, if Shuukichi is just normal character, then I will be fine with it as I like his and Yumi interactions. Though, I'm not sure, who else could be the brother.

gosho is hitting us over the head with the idea of dopplegangers

the yumi in the photo appears to have shorter eyelashes in the photo than when in the restaurant.. but that is a bit hard to tell for sure.

I don't know any Chinese but in the pics I got the impression that shukichi and yumi met in that restaurant 2 days ago.
Again that is based on my lack of Chinese.
That being said I found it weird that she's wearing the same clothes in the pic and at the restaurant 2 days ago. So... That's my input. It can mean other things but I'm not sure yet.

Yes, the met 2 days ago. I didn't notice she ware the same cloths. Did she got kidnapped 2 days ago? That's mean his Shogi opponent can do it, and is the main suspect

Yes, that's what I was getting at. If she's been missing for 2 days then I think it should have been noticed. On work or if I recall correctly she has pets that need to be fed. I assume her neighbors would notice.
