Re: How would Gin die?
Out of sheer boredom and in hopes of procrastinating a bit longer on my Lab assignment... I will present to you a totally convoluted, nonsensical theory on how Gin will meet his end.
First, to begin, we must all remember that Gin and Vodka are joined at the hip. Next we must all realize that Vodka is an idiot who travels with Gin as his personal secretary who cannot do anything right.
With those two points out of the way, shall we begin?
Gin and Vodka are lured into a compromising situation. Ok.... that is already incorrect... VODKA is lead into a compromising situation without telling "aneki" and Gin follows knowing full well Vokda will either get himself killed, or somehow leave a trail that will lead to his destruction. Little do either of them know that Kudo, having recently gotten his body back set up a plan with the FBI to capture Gin and Vodka, right after Vermouth betrayed them for protecting Ai, because she realized that she couldn't kill her without killing "angel" or "cool guy," and that is just not acceptable. Now... (providing that Shuu is dead and never coming back) The FBI hire a Scout Sniper to aid them in their plight (if you don't know what a Scout Sniper is, look it up). They lead Vodka (and subsequently Gin) into a meeting with the person who is supposed to be dead (Kudo or Sherry). They arrive with the scout sniper well camouflaged as he is trained to do. And Vermouth who is now on the side of good, dresses as Sherry. The scout sniper locks onto Gin as he drives up. Vermouth shoots the idiot who rushes up to get a better shot while Vermouth is already a marksman and needs no closer distance. Then Gin realizing his grave error tries to get away, but is quickly sniped by the scout sniper, thus dying on the spot.
Note this was written at 0600, I can't sleep, and am probably delusional. However, I can only see Gin meeting his end at the hands of another trained killer. And what better trained killers than good ol' American Military. I chose USMC Scout sniper, just because they own at their job. I could have easily gone SEAL (Navy) or Ranger (Army) or Force Recon, but meh, scout snipers are perfect. Though... if you want to interchange that with any other military personnel feel free. I still say it takes a killer to kill a killer. No one in the FBI has the skills required to take out Gin, but a scout sniper, SEAL, Ranger, Green Beret, or any other Special Forces personnel (there is quite a list) sure as hell can.
If you read this, and understood it, I commend you. If not, let me summarize it for you... Vodka leads Gin into compromising situation --> Someone (I used Vermouth) kills Vodka by surprise --> Sniper from US mil special forces or scout sniper unit kills Gin.
Basically Kill Gin by using his only weakness... Vodka.

Re: How would Gin die?
well i cnt deny im a Gin fan, my last post is like an exaggeration, i mean Gin is depicted as very formidable opponent for Shinichi, his analytical power is at Shinichi's lvl and he is a deadly assassin too.chitz38 wrote: @ Rellik
Why am I not surprise with your statements? hehehe such a big Gin fan. But I disagree with you about Gin surviving and giving up. His pride will never allow it so I think he will prefer to go all out and kill all his enemies and kill himself instead when he's cornered or something cause he would probably prefer to take his own life than being killed by anyone else.
Well, in my opinion Gin is definitely going to die. Death is one permanent thing in the world so it will happen sooner or later. I agree it cant be simple or stupid for that matter. I just hope Mr. Aoyama's greatness will surprise us all in how he will do this scene.
to me, Gin is a character who wont go down that easily even if he was caught in an explosion or get shot several times (i doubt any of this wud happen to him anyways) - that's why i think that Gin wud be presumably dead, we realise he is still alive, he accepts defeat and thats the last we hear from him. (believe me this is a very common plot and i find it perfect for Gin's outcome)

Re: How would Gin die?
1. Gin is very, very hard to kill.
2. Gin is the kind of person who never forgets a grudge.
3. Gin is also the kind of person who can't be kept in custody for any extended period of time.
This being the case, virtually the only way to dispense with him is to kill him. This will probably require a shot in the head, most likely from either Akai or Shinichi--hopefully Akai.
Vermouth, on the other hand, is weird enough that she'd escape and show up only every now and then to bother Shinichi, but not seriously.

In the movie, I highly doubt it's Shinichi. In the trailer it makes you think Conan is shot by Gin. With how close the two of them, I highly doubt Conan would have been able to escape if it was Gin that fired. Also, the shot had to be fired before Gin could shoot Conan to work in vice versa, unless they left out a hellova a lot of stuff, such as Conan dying and Gin being all 'muahahahah~' and evil. xD
I think it should be Takagi, actually. I really thought about it, and... I've come up with it. IT should be Takagi who saves our hero. =D

Re: How would Gin die?
I'm not the type who normally does this, but I can't resist:
Plot- In an alternate manga universe where Detective Conan and Death Note are put on the same pages together a new plot is about to begin. This said plot is at the climax of the series. What will happen to our heroes as we venture into ‘The Twilight Zone’? (Queue’s mixed theme songs). Dun. Dun. Dun..!
1. Light finds out about the BO.
2. He plots to get a list of the BO members’ real names by using Misa to trail them.
3. Gin and Shinichi get into a fight to the death!!
4. Light writes down Gin's real name in his 'death note', but you never find out his real name. (OH NO!)
5. Shinichi gets all bloodied up and Gin falls over dramatically clutching his chest. (What will happen next!?)
6. Shinichi goes up to Gin and attempts to get a closer look at his face.
7. He says, "Only one truth will prevail!"
8. Shinichi pulls up his face and...
9. Gin's hat falls off revealing he was really bald!
10. Fin.
There's a secret alternate ending using the Scooby Doo theme:
"It was really old man Jenkins!" Says the Detective Boys.
"And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling..."

Re: How would Gin die?
I promised a friend of mine to write this here to hear your comments:
What about Gin's not really being a loyal member of the BO?!
Everyone thinks of him being as loyal as a dog is to his owner but there are some very strange actions of him. Either Aoyama made an terrible mistake or Gin is not loyal! There is one hint I want you to give to think of:
In vol. 24 Gin knows Sherry very very well! He knows exactly about her movements and thoughts. If the BO wanted her to continue the apoptoxin he must have known that she would not work on it any more after the death of her sister. Even facing her own death refusing it.
With this I don't want to say he is a "nice" guy, but there is more behind his actions. (Not like this coward Vermouth, relying on others and hoping for help without doing anything on her own. (Sorry, I couldn't refuse to write this))

i also have doubts about if Gin really is loyal member of BO, he doesnt seem like a person who would follow anyone (unless that 'anyone' is a figure even Gin is afraid of), but whatever he is up to, it wont be pretty.

Re: How would Gin die?
I think Gin is supposed to be an Organization man. That is, someone who is more loyal to the Organization itself than its nominal leadership. He might disobey/reinterpret orders if he thinks he needs to do so in order to protect it (like Yuusaku portrayed when he and Yukiko were trying to test/scare Conan), but he won't betray it.Rellik wrote: i also have doubts about if Gin really is loyal member of BO, he doesnt seem like a person who would follow anyone (unless that 'anyone' is a figure even Gin is afraid of), but whatever he is up to, it wont be pretty.

I agree with the part of Ran vs Gin in martial arts xDNanatsu no Ko wrote: If anyone in the BO kills Gin it would have to be Vermouth, the boss, or Gin himself (Conan tranquilizes him, he aims at his own arm is distracted and mistakenly blows his own head off, for example lol).
I don't see anyone from the police killing Gin.
And Haibara is a possibility.
Personally, I would like to see Ran vs Gin in martial arts.

Re: How would Gin die?
It sounds like most would like Gin to die at another's Hand. I think it would be more interesting for Gin to die in any kind of accident whether caused by nature like flood, tornado, blizzard, Etc, or a simple accident like car, falling down the stairs, getting lost, plane crash, or even getting caught by a BO plan backfire, like making a killer disease that he catches instead. So many way to bring 'real life' to the story

Re: How would Gin die?
I think it should be Takagi. I really do. His or Satou. They both are involved with Conan a lot, and they both are cops, have their own guns, they have the resources. If they kill Gin, that means they know the situation, and thery heard gin call Conan 'Shinichi'. I think it would be BAMF if it was Takagi. =D
