I doubt it, but how many times have the Detective Boys even met Shinichi. Off the top of my head, I can only think of two.

So the cat story is fake. The culprits purposely wanted them to think that this was all about a cat, hence letting Ayumi see them with a cat carrier and hear them talking about trying to find a cat. The cat in the picture is in fact just a photograph of Eri's cat from the video on the video site.
Conan in the last scene is looking at the rug, however this rug has been quite abused... Coffee, trash heap, wrapped around a little girl...
Can't help but think that the culprits wanted them all out of the house during the "cat search"...

They may have switched out the rug, since the Professor notes that it doesn't have any marks on the front when it was returned. While there should have been some coffee stains. They probably did it when they released Ayumi to give her water.

The very first case. Shinich met those three there, but I guess knowingly, only once.
that's anime-only... in the manga they don't meet until the desperate revival case and then not anymore afterwards and non-canon wise kaito kuroba with kudo's hairstyle in the newest ova or something

In Japan they release the chapter on Wednesdays, but due to some things we can see the Chinese raws on Mondays. The translation... they do their best they can, there isn't a fix date. But usually before the next raw file appears. ^^
Hm. So the rug doesn't have coffee on it, so it's highly likely it was taken. But...
Why wouldn't they knock Ayumi out? That would've made it easier to switch them out, along with not having to disguise their voices...
Whatever the case, I can't wait for new files. Okiya actually doing very obvious suspicious things is awesome, and maybe Sera will show up for even more suspicion on her end. I feel it's going to be awesome
I think Conan hasn't figured out yet...why Ayumi was taken, otherwhise he would already know the culprit.
Many ppl speculations were right, they were after the rug after all...hmph..and no BO..... I guess Okiya(assuming he is Akai) was stalking because he thought it was BO that was stalking their house.
1. Okiya has an earphone in his ear and is indeed listening in on the conversation at Agasa's house
2. The cat picture was lifted wholesale from Eri's video of Goro
3. The culprits wanted Ayumi to be able to hear their conversation about the cat
4. The rug has no stains on it, even though it should have coffee stains
5. The culprits released Ayumi from the rug under the pretense of giving her water to drink.
