JKD Person: *after getting a confession/figuring it out* Hm...alright, I'll keep my mouth shut. But *glances to Ran in background* on one condition.

JKD: Oh definitely *picks up Conan with a smile* Let's go Conan-kun~! I would be super fun, if it turns out that JKD person is a detective girl (REAL detective, I mean a girl who's really smart, fond of riddles and likes Holmes - so perfect match for Shinchi) who knew his secret. In DC story there's lack of detective girls and a lot of detective boys (and Detective Boys - :[ ), so it could be interesting to see new female character.
Another thing - I still don't understand why Conan blushed after JKD person's wink - could it be that it's really a girl? Maybe somebody from Shinichi's family (cousin who he hasn't seen since many years for example) or a girl he met long time ago... It's just too suspicious that he changed his mode from "You'd better leave Ran alone" to "Woah, he winked to me??" so fast.
While I do agree with all of this, the bolded points are especially what I've been thinking about. I mean, when I first saw the raws, I was convinced this JKD person was a girl, no doubt about it. Even now, I'm really doubting it's a boy, but maybe that's just me.
Anyway, with the girl being a real detective, this is really what I'm hoping for. I mean, how awesome would it be for her to not only win a deduction battle against Conan but then top it all off with, 'Oh, btw, I'm a girl' or something flirty? Conan's face would just be priceless. Aforementioned 'blackmail' would be awesome too. Not to mention if this person knew about Conan being Shinichi, it would be highly plausible they'd be somewhat main...which would mean a somewhat constant upfront challenge to Ran (who can't be beaten just by karate as they're basically equal skill) She'd [Ran] would even especially feel challenged seeing as the JKD person is...well, the JKD expert and (supposedly) smart like Shinichi. Even if it didn't move the plot *shakes fist at Gosho* it'd at least be interesting.
The wink was one of the main things that convinced me it was a girl. Ran's blush had me thinking at first it was just something about Shinichi the person said (while scanning the Chinese raw of course) while the wink made me think 'Ohoho~ Conan's blushing'. Of course, this would bring up the question: does he know it's a girl or is he just feeling the feminine vibe without realizing it? I'm suspicious about his mood change too.
Oh yes, the 'knew Shinichi long ago' thing. This is something that bugged me before this case, specifically long ago when Eri came in. It was pretty much stated that Eri hadn't seen Shinichi in 10ish years. I could see Shinichi not recognizing her and even Eri not recognizing him, but you'd think she'd get some deja vu vibe considering he looks exactly the same. I would've killed for a joke like: "Hey wait... *to Ran* Oh wow, dear, Shinichi didn't grow at all, did he?" Or something.
Anyway, we'll just have to wait for the next file for answers, I suppose. There's at least one thing I know Gosho's accomplished with this character though: lots and lots of speculation.
EDIT: Oh yeah, before this point is brought up against this theory, I think the JKD person's "You're my type of girl" to Ran could've been meant in a way like "You're my type of opponent". Just a thought~
