Love threads suddenly became boring, because nothing important happens. After Shiragami's Case it was sooooo close to Shinichi's confession. Maybe this time he will tell Ran (finally~!) about his feelings. I wish something would change in the story. DC is now too predictable and static. :/
I feel exactly the same way, Red! Since he said the London case would be a breakthrough, I'm pretty excited!
It seems what Gosho is talking about could potentially (and most likely) be a confession. I'm sure that this case, as it goes on, will gain potency.  ;D

yeah I remember someone posted on that forum that Gosho said there will be major plot development after the London case...I don't remember he was only talking about Shinan relationship...for me "major plot "means BO...but since Gosho is obsessed by love stories,I think it'll only be development between Shin and Ran ::)
I really hope BO will be involved in this London case...or else I really don't think I'll enjoy these files... :-\

Yeah, I'm waiting impatiently for the confession of love, not only because I'm ShinRan fan, but also because that kind of situation would be a sign of coming ending. ^o^ I expected that Gosho would make confession between Shinichi and Ran at the end of the series, because Gosho ALWAYS found out the way to slip away from romantic situations. -_-" That's why it would be really something if he showed us the confession eventually before final confrontation with BO.

Still, we can't be sure what Gosho will do with that case. I've high expectations, but on the other hand I've a feeling that we will get nothing again. Remember Bomber Case in Department Store (that one with red t-thirts)? It was said to be RAPID BO development, but what it was actually? Playing hide and seek, a few mysterious moments and nothing else. I'm afraid that London Case could be just like Bomber Case - everybody will be so excited about it, but at the end of the case we won't get what we want. :/

You..... want food from England? O.o"
Yes.

I know, I know. The food's supposed to be terrible (stereotypically speaking!), but after all these years of hearing about various dishes, I want to try them for myself! (This actually goes for other countries too...)

Also, beer that is made to be served warm...would actually be served warm! It's just so novel of a concept. *mutters unkind things about American bars*

Of course, a lot of the foods I want to try wouldn't last through the return trip, so there goes that idea. Sigh.

Anyway, back to something vaguely topical....

Also, there was the case where Shinichi's parents were introduced. If I remember correctly, they wanted to whisk him off to America. Wouldn't he need a passport for that? Well, I suppose they could've pulled some strings or called in some favours to make it happen....  Of course, something from 600+ chapters ago probably has limited relevance.
Yes. But I also think that Yusaku said something about knowing someone from Interpol (or another big organization) who would help.
Yeah, that's what I was remembering, but I had no way to quickly and easily verify it. That's why I left it at "pulling strings". Thanks for actually giving my vague statement clarity.  :D

Having been to the UK once, the only UK-specific foods I actually enjoyed were fish&chips and haggis. Otherwise, the food was entirely bland and uninteresting. So if you want to taste English food, just burn your tongue before eating something so you can't taste it. :P

Nah, I think the bombing case was a great developement. It wasn't obvious definitive developement, like the previous long arcs (like the clash arc), but it was a lot more revealing than the bank robery case, to cite an example.

awesome, a new case... IN LONDON!!!  ;D (im going to london next year and the first place i will visit is also, the Sherlock Holmes museum heh heh heh).

From examining the poem/riddle, I deduce that: The culprit must be Japanese, because I'm seeing some pretty bad Engrish. :/ (sorry Gosho). but I'm very excited about this case!!! :D

I hope it will be as exiting as people hope but I'm not going to expect anything until I see it with my own eyes, it's easier that way. And also the way they got to England was lame, I hope there is more of a reason behind it.

yeah, this case better explains a lot, although from the narration was formed as if to foretell an important event ^^

Part of me hopes that there was something extra in the conversation between Conan and the lady that we missed that's the real reason they're there, but to be honest I do know some people crazy enough to buy whole flights for people who find their pets...

I know of someone who would do that, but only for cute girls. And it's not what it sounds like, he's gay. But he does refer to himself as daddy. I do hope the lady is not like that.

Yeah the lady and Conan were talking in English in one of the panels (the one before "--Ok?") but it wasn't specified what they spoke about (presumably how she was going to pay for everything)
